Buds taking ages to mature

As the title says, the nugs aren't thickening. First flower was 9 weeks ago.

Indoor grow in soil with a 250w HPS. Using hydro nutes in water sat for 24hrs to evaporate chlorine. 'scuse the crispy leaves, last weekend I was away and it dried out a little too much. Prior to that, I had the occasional yellow leaf from the bottom of the plant.

Either way, it seems like this plant is taking ages to grow. It took 4 weeks of 12/12 to show any sign of sex. Grown from bagseed, but I can't imagine commercial growers choosing a strain that takes 7-8 months to cycle. I guess I must be doing something wrong. Also, no smell unless I shake a cola or put my face right up to the plant, if that means anything.

Have I got to just wait a little longer, or did I mess something up?

That is the first time ive ever heard of this. i think you may need more light. or put it a little closer. ^^ as he said do you get light leakage during the off hours? cuz she kinda looks like she may be a hermie.

You need a minimum of 120 watts fo light to flower a plant that size....

there is MAJOR Light pollution in your Flowering room. you can tell from the many single fingered leaves present. single fingered, mutant leaves are a sure sign that the plant is trying to re-veg its self. its BASICLY Still in veg and Super stressed out.

there should be NO Light leaks from the room. that means no light leaking into the room.

mabe thats what it is...u just got a dude.....i cant see in that cluster-fuck.... my eyes arent that good....
you can see Pistols in some of the Pic's. Males no not develop pistols.

this seems more likely to me........unless u can show me a male flower on that plant.....

id go inside ur grow room and turn the lights off....see if u can see any light

It's probably a combination of stress, do you know the pH of your nutrient solution? How's your ventilation? And like Corbat said, single-bladed leaves are a sign of re-vegging, which means you may have a major light leak in there.

am i the only one who noticed that plant looks EXTREMELY sativa dominant? not uncommon with bagseed. sativas take forever to mature. unless the leaves are just shriveled or something i don't see why anyone would be shocked that the plant is taking so long. i once had a straight up thai sativa that i had to junk after 13 weeks because i just didn't have the space to waste on something that was going to take that long to finish. i mean it looks stressed as hell and that's probably not helping, but i'm not surprised is all.

EXTREMELY sativa dominant?
Extremly Stressed. Sativa strains (i have a True Blue in my basment...) usualy take an average of 12 weeks to finish. but some take as long as 14 weeks. the buds will still look the Exact Same as an Indica plant, only MUCH Larger and they continue to grow for MUCH Longer. my strain takes 12-13 weeks to finish but 2 weeks into flowering the only differance between it and the Indica's and Hybreds are the shape of the leaf. the buds form on the same schedule.

its not just because its a sativa.

It's possible that it's sativa-dominant, but it looks more like a re-vegging indica..I've taken cuttings from flowering indica plants, and it looks exactly like the pictures in the OP, aside from the dying leaves.

its also possible that the timer is screwed up. I would test the timer to make sure it is not kicking the light on in the middle of the dark period.

like everyone said check your timer/ darkcycle, i would also kick the light down to 10on 14 off. i dont think its a lack of light as your internodes are still tight....... im sorry to say this but that plant looks bad, not talking your skills but genticly, you really owe yourself to get even some cheap good genetics. Learning to grow is frustrating id hate so see someone give up because of their seed..... keep at it bro

Where are you chunk? answer the questions ,are there any leaks? The plant looks in tatters.

Thanks for the replies.

As far as I know, there are no light leaks. The container has a mylar lining all around, and I've checked inside during the day. I went onto a 11/13 timing about 2 months ago to make sure it gets a proper dark period, even though this is more than it needs. Rechecked the timer, no it doesn't come on accidentally.

PH of the solution is 6.8-7.0 on the times I've checked it, not sure what the soil PH is. Temps are variable. Usually around 28-32c a little warmer if the weather is hot. For the most part, I've been looking after if as best that I can. Except for the hiccup when it dried out more than it should have.

Checking every day, it is progressing, but very, very slowly. From reading around, some strains can take as long as 13 weeks to bloom, I'm hoping it's one of those. But on the other side of the coin, the usual cycle time is "3 months" as most people quote.

Not sure exactly what some of you are saying about single bladed leaves. The pics may not be too clear. But when I prune off the drying leaves, it has 3 blades on them. I assumed it was ok as with all the pics I see of people's maturing bud, only the one blade sticks out. I thought this was usual. Having said that, this plant did at one stage have 7 and 9 blade fans, but gave up on that when I topped/LST'd it.

I took some clones (pic attached) and put them in a 50w CFL micro grow cabinet. These are 7 weeks old. To give an alternative environment for the same strain.

temps should NEVER go above 32 C it will stall growth Completely. its more than likley your problem... its WAY to hot and the plant CANT grow.....

You topped and LST'ed it at the same time didn't you? When it was rather warm out i would guess..... The stress from Heat is almost enough to do this on its own.

the only thing you can do now is get the temperature down to 26 C Lights ON and 20~ C Lights off...... and then hope for the best.

the Air inside the room needs to be exchanged every 5 Mins for a proper grow. it allows the plants to cycle their Co2 and O2, and outside the air is ALLWAYS Cycling....
