Bugs!!!! Help!! Quick!!

Hey guys,
my plants have just reached the veg stage and as I was watering them yesterday I noticed that when I cultivated the top soil and saw some of the darker soil underneath, some things moved. I know you might say thrips, but I have looked at everything I can to find out what they are and can't. the bugs aren't big yet.. they look like little larvae. it's not a maggot.. they are way way too small. i could barely see them.. just glimmers of these little long specs that curl around and burry back down into the soil. they don't seem to like the light as there are none in the top soil. i see nothing on the underside of any leaves or in the stalks.. so it's not spidermites or whiteflies i dont think. i sprayed the plants with citrus juice and also diluted some citrus juice for the soil, but when i checked today there are just as many little white things moving around.
so, does anyone have any clue what this is? i don't have much money for treating it, so cheap fixes would be good. also keep in mind these are ORGANIC plants in organic soil, so do you think that the wormy things are just a part of the biotics of the soil? help!!!

i read through all of the info on the site you mentioned and none of those bugs are what this is. it's so weird! it creeps me out to go in there now because i am scared one day they will be coming up out of the soil!! but they seem to only be under the top layer. i'm still looking for more info, but they don't seem to be harming the plants any, so i'm not sure what to do at this point.

i n think you might have the same problem as me i got millapedes livin in my soil. not sure if theyre bad or not.

If they are in the soil and not on the plants it should be ok thats what you get some times with soil, soil is earth and its impossiable to know if its totaly 100% cool, if the plant itself looks healthy then you have nothing to fear, once again they are weeds do you think on the outside when they grow wild NO bugs are in the ground with them ? leafs always tell you alot about your plant, nice green leafs, or with a hint of shine the plant is happy and having a good time, its aways good to have something put aside when growing in soil for bugs so something for you to consider for the future when you have the funds.

thanks for the tips. the plants do look very, very healthy other than the weird little white worms in the soil, so i will just leave them be unless i see adults or bugs on top of the soil. thanks for your help.

the worms might be from fungus gnats.

Whatever it is, you should get some einstein oil or neem oil. I would start a light preventative program while still vegging. The last thing I would want is a bunch if bugs hatching in my grow room during flowering. Kill them larvae bastards, just dont use anything that will hurt your plants.

i guess i could just do what my hick neighbor says and 'nuke 'em' with organic bug spray. does anyone know if diatamacious earth is organic? anyone recommend anything under 20 bucks that is organic and will kill most anything? is this einstein or neem oil available at home depo? and do you guys think i should transplant them to new soil?

i had these in my first grow. but i didn't notice them until i harvested and was emptying my grow bags and saw that 2-3 bags were 100% infested and a couple other bags i had to dig and look closely to find them but every bag cept 2 had some in there and my harvest was ok. yield wasn't great but like i said i chopped them and then found the problem so i couldn't tell ya if my biggest strongest plants had them in there or not. i would just try use neem oil first and try stay organic.

I have used bug bomb for leaf hoppers. ONLY USE IT IN VEG. I have came across alot of weed at parties/bar that taste like bug bomb, Yet they think their BC Big bud is cronic....LMAO

You would be surprised how many kush stains taste like soap/dishwasher soap/ comet. Its not from soap, its just the bud..... Trust me, not everyone in BC is going around bug bombing their grows, I dont know anyone who has EVER done this. Just you.

I have never bug bomed in flower stage. I know what bug bomb smells and taste like. lots of spidermites in the passage way to here. I dont have any bugs now.... the fly paper is now a hassle.

so, any takers on the diatomacious earth being organic or not question? any fixes that are organic for this type of pest or one that will kill pretty much everything? i want these things gone so i can rest easy!!

neem oil is completely organic and if those ARE the larvae for something like thrips/spidermites or something that feeds off the plant, neem oil will disrupt the life cycle and keep them from doing harm. I used neem oil when i started seeing adult bugs, and it's doing wonders. you can get it at most garden supply centers or grow shops. just add about a teaspoon per gallon (or a few drops into a spray bottle) shake well and keep shaking as you're spraying. then spray all the leaves of your plant including the underside, and the top of your soil. I've heard it's best to spray during the dark cycle depending on what light you're using. i suggest just move it out of the grow area and spend time spraying it carefully and don't put it back under the lights until it's dried. do that about once every week to two weeks and you can rest without any worries of pests.

They are just stoner bugs. Just like us but in another life form.

Yes it is, bit it is more of an insect repellent than a insecticide.

If you really want to stick with organic you can dig up a piece of soil with the bug in it. Then once you have isolated a sample send it to "natures control" they can ID the bug for you and tell you how to kill it or if you even need to worry about it. Call them and ask before you send in your sample.

But for less than $20 and organic and effective. I don't think such a thing is available.
