building indoor growroom, soil vs. hydroponic. Whats ur opinion?

Im building an indoor grow room, dimensions and lights will figure out later. More interested in soil vs. hydroponics. Looking for quality and ma ximum potency. Do I really need a C02 system for the hydroponics, if so whats the best way to set it up. Also whats better Aeroponics, Grow blocks or Flood/Drain drip etc. I currently have an outdoor medical garden and im happy with the soil but having problems with pests. Bottom line: trying to find a way to get the strongest medicine.
Appreciate all opinions!:blsmoke:

id say if your growing for quality, organic is the way to go.
and you already have experience in soil so your bound to grow some good shiet!
co2 wouldnt be nessecary if you get fresh air from outside and bring it into your room.
if you had to go hydro id say aeroponics..or DWC!
never really tried aero..probably cuz of the tight budget im in... but dwc is simple, cheap, and effective!
you should probably look for liquid organic nutes if your hydro bound...
i dont get from the store cuz of prices.. but then again, why buy when i have a farm filled with good nutes all round me!
bottom line, if your interested in quality, go soil..
if quantity, hydro...
.... on another note: look at what strain your growing too..
ive heard of some strains that do better in hydro setups with chemicals!

Thanks joebaze
I have also heard of people growing in soil using braided ropes on the bottom of the buckets that hang into a reservoir with hydroponic nutes. Has anyone used this or heard of it.

thats called a whick system..kind of like hydroponics.
i'd use this method outdoors, because this setup is made for people who cant water as often as should..like guerilla grows.

one thing when making your decision is if you choose to go hydro the most important thing is water,if you dont have water close by then that means carrying water and we all know that water is heavy,I switched to hydro because my water is in the same room(utility sink)and its no trouble at all to wash, flush etc. if I were in my old grow room hydro would be a problem because there was no water or drain. just something to think about. peace and grow on

Thanks for the great advice snocat , N yes water is f@$% heavy haha , ill definitely have a sink near by , but im kinda leaning towards soil , UNLESS SOMEONE CAN CONVINCE ME THAT HYDRO IS THE WAY TO GO.

This is my first aeroponic grow and I'm well pleased, the only pic was 25 days from seed. I have read that the potency is generally better with aero and quicker growth like some have said here, soil tastes better but if you want smoke quick then aero/dwc is quicker.

Soil is a buffer to the nutes you put in so if you screw up it's easier to remedy, hydro is more particular but if you buy the right equipment you will be handling things much easier. I find I can go away for days on end and no problems, it's all self managed.

One of my bigger threats,,, power failure.
For me that means soil (at this present time anyways).
