dude, buy a small grow tent. You are gonna have trouble mounting exhast fans/filters etc.....how are you gonna hang a light from the inside of a cardboard box? Id try a secret jardin dr80.

I am using clf lights so I dont think the heat will be a problem and I can mount fans in the cardboard easy. Also I am going to paint the inside with the most reflective white water proof paint I can find. (the cardboard stays)

I need to know how to install fans in the side I have seen people use computer fans but I need to know what to use for a power source and how to control their speeds.

12 vold dc power supply. You can use a computer power supply. ick up a cheap one at any compuer store.

Use a variable resistor to slow it down a little.

i had a cardboard grow box and kept plants in there with 2 26w cfl.
i took the plants out of there when they reached about 10inches and put them in a proper place because i knew i would need more lights to finish the grow and i did not want to burn it all down with heat or some crazy random thing that could happen.

But maybe if you grow just one plant and really keep an eye on it, it will be ok.

also i has 2 computer fans in there (so much easier to cut into than wood lmao!)

dont forget to coat the inside with either mylar, or black/white plastic stuff... black on one side white on the other.. works really well. and would help with light from any small cracks.

get chargers from around your house.

a 12v charger will make it go a full speed, or what i did was i had a 3000 rpm 120mm computer fan, but did not want that much force so i used a 5 or 6v charger and it works just how i need it, which is about 60% power.

you just cut the computer fan wires and the charger wires, then connect them properly (computer fan usually have a red black and yellow cable. you just need red and black connect red to one and black to the other.) . plug it in make sure it works (NOTE: do not let the 2 wires touch when its plugged in) when you know it works tape up each wire so its not exposed then you could tape them together to make it easier to move around, and POOF you have a nice working fan.

i think that makes sense lol

i did the same thing at first and learned very fast that cardbord is not the way to go. walmart has these portable closets and they work real good. a 36x43x60 is 20 dollars and i have a 60x60x63 and it was 29.00 dollars. its works great i will put up a picture in a second. as far as the cardboard goes you will be changing out the box. i didnt have fire issues but they weaken very fast.

see the only thing with that is it depends where you live, because i know that wall-mart in the us vs wall-mart in Canada is very different. like Ive never seen anything like that in the wall mart near where i live (Quebec) but that seems like the best thing ever for that price, and i would recommend that over cardboard any day!

Well, i can say i tried my first grow with cardboard. i can also say it didnt work, mostly due to lack of structural support and weight (very unstable at heights). the humidity wont be a problem unless your over watering your plants and not using any form of ventilation. you could do it with alot of diy and know-how but my advice to you would be to do a rubbermaid grow. the cardboard may allow mold to grow and its hard to clean, especially with liquid based cleaners (i.e. basically every cleaner).
so id say get a couple 20+ gal rubbermaids, some reflective material (flat white paint, mylar, tin foil). just toss some lights and a couple fans in there and your set.

all the best to you

This is my make shift room until I build the official(wood) this weekend I will probably keep this one too (I like it) multiple layers of cardboard and nailed to the wall pretty sturdy.
