How do I wire this ceramic lamp socket? It's the only thing holding me back from starting my grow. I already started wiring them, but I wasn't sure if I did it right. Could u guys help? I don't want to blow a 1000 watt bulb.

Thanks homie. Hope someone can help me lol

The manufacturer's support center didn't know how to do it >_> they didn't even know the wires were marked by different colors.

you can find an answer on you-tube much faster and probably a video too .
Do a little research on your own instead of asking questions . educate yourself .

^ that post gave me cancer

Seriously? You can say that to anyone who asks a question here. I already did my research and couldn't find an answer myself. That post was a waste of everyone's time.

At least I got a bump >_>

Looks backwards. The center contact needs to connect with the black wire. White wire is neutral.

Ah ok.. So the black wire connects to what the bulb rests on top of (socket) and white wire connects to what surrounds the bulb (shell)?

I watched this video on YouTube before and it confused me... It says that the type/color of screws (brass, silver, green) are important too.

1000 watt ballast from Apollo Horticulture.

I believe i figured it out with your guy's help. I say this cuz I turned it on, the bulb didn't blow, and it functioned as normal lol I connected the black wire to what the bulb rests on when put in, and the white wire to the only other hole it fit in which was very similar to the black wire's hole.

The green, grounded wire was left aside for now, but I believe that isn't necessary though it can be attached to another piece of metal..?
