How about a SOG style 12/12 from seed? It seems especially beneficial for personal grows. Keep small plants in small pots and harvest weekly or bi-weekly. Maybe use milk cartons as pots to conserve space?

KS420 brings up a good point; don't have much floor space? Scrog is likely beneficial. The only thing that bugs me about the plants on the scrog, under CFLs/flouros is how long it takes to harvest. You get some big plants and they take time to ripen.

What suits your situation better? Harvesting small plants often or large plants less frequently?

kidney: theres plenty of room for 9 plants but they would be small, i have 20" by 21" to work with for floor space then maybe about a foot and a half with the lights, my idea with SOG would be to keep the plants small and harvest ever week or so.

oTm: a 12/12 from seed would be nice but this means i need to pollinate this first grow to get some seeds. im not sure if i really want to do this, but could save me in the end. yea i know scrog would take forever. but the yield in the end would be high. how much do you think id yield from each plant if i went 12/12 from seed, and do you think itll be worth it to pollinate this grow?

hah weren't we discussion pollination somewhere else too?

It's a tough call - pollination is quite the investment, both time and energy. It's really an entire grow to yield minimally smokable buds, the purpose of which has 50/50 chance of male/female. Maybe this should wait?

12/12 from seed with fem seeds could produce anywhere from 1/4-3/4oz per plant. Yield is likely dependent on container size here.

... who'd of thought the hard part was deciding how to grow the plants? haha

hes a nice little thought, im already constructing a veg/ clone box. the box will be set up to hold plants for 3 weeks at a time, two weeks under a dome and one outside of the dome under direct cfl light. with these 3 weeks of veg i could rotate the plants trough the dome for 2 weeks outside the dome one week and into the flower box, my veg/ clone box can hole 9 plants in dixie cups, 6 inside a dome and 3 outside. if i want to harvest once a week that means putting one plant in every week, so some plants get a longer veg than others and that also means one clone per week. this doesnt seem hard and i could pretty much start it as soon as i get a female plant. ill draw up a diagram in a sec and post it to make more sense

ok so in this pic the 9 week 12/12 that the clones will go in is at top, below shows the veg box where 3 clones go under a dome for one week then the next week move over to the left so 3 more clones can join the dome, the next week the 3 clones move over again now outside the dome, i take one a week and put them into the 12/12 box. so this will give me one harvest a week. i will also take one to three clones a week to keep the cycle. below is a sort of clock that shows plant one being harvested first then 2 would than 3 and so on. plant 18 being the most recent clone.

clones start in rockwool cubes for the first two weeks, then into dixie cups for the next im thinking either before they enter the flowerbox transplant or maybe the 2 week in flower to give them a nice root system, big roots = big buds :bigjoint:

what would you think?

That sounds about right. Many say that transplanting before 12/12 is best to avoid shock during flowering, kind of depends on a lot of factors.

yea but i dont think it would be to bad, plus i plan on lollipopin the ladies.

LOVE your design for getting a harvest every week. I will have to take a tip from your book for my 12/12 PC grower.

hahahaha oh how i love a good frosty budcicle!

so what size pots do you think the final resting pot should be? ill have to see what i can fit, right now i only have 6" to 8" pots

im not to sure if thats possible HA. maybe what i can do is have 2 plants in smaller pots until they develop good roots. im thinking those square pots will do just fine

haha well today i was offered two female kush plants, my buddy isnt sure of the strain, he just said its some nice kush. he doesnt have anywhere to grow them and theyve been sitting under a fish tank light since he got them. i sad id gladly take them for you :blsmoke: so now i just gota work out a time to go grab them this week.

seeds that i germinated on the 17th have shown no progress in root growth. so i decided to add clonex to one just to see if it might help. im not sure whats up or why the taproot wont grow... its either growing super slow or not at all. but i wont loose faith in them ill just let the little buggers be for another week. i did however put my Moby Dick Fem into a shot glass tonight.
