Billynom8s Wild or Tame it's all the same. Vegan / Organic manure. Bunny Poop is one of my three favorites. Worm Castings, Bunny Poop & Bat Guano. If you've got those in your toolbox, Mary will grow like she's on steroids - maximum potential reached...

Keep it Real...Organic...

never tried bunny poo, to my own dissapointment. i definately will someday though. i know it has to be as good as everyone says.

I did hear of a seed company, i forget the name, that uses a tortoise poo tea for all of thier plants. They used to have the tortoise as a pet/mascot type thing and it just got huge. Anyway, they swear by the tortoise shit and the teas that it makes. tortoises and rabbits have a similar diet so I'm guessing there's some truth to that statement...good luck and i'll def try those craps in the future. and thank you for all the good shit info ohsgreen.

I have noticed over the years, I have friends who say " Man, Growing Organic is too much work. I just open a bottle and pour it in." But they have Bottle A, Bottle B, Bottle Micro, Bottle C and Bottle D to mix with those Bottles. They have to get out measuring shot glasses, pH meters, TDS meters. Do reseviour change outs, frequent pH adjustment...etc...
It just makes me laugh, cause I used to grow that way back in the 80's. I even had a lab coat... LOL ..
.
To me, making a poo tea takes all of 5 minutes work total. It's cheap, works great and my plants look like bushes always. So, to those guys with slide rulers, a pocket full of meters & ten different bottles... I just have to say " Growing like that is too much work." LOL
.
Keep it Real... Organic... which equals cheap, simple & effective....

I have this mental image of dude chasing down bunnies thru a meadow with a collection bag in hand scooping up poo........ Is THAT why Alice went into that hole?

Believe it or not I cannot find a Bunny Breeder anywhere near me!!!! Who'd of thunk it?
I did start to thinking about it and came up with a real close alternative...Chinchillas!!! Same diet and lifestyle as a rabbit. To me, a chinchilla is just a bunny with a nice coat and long tail. There are at least 3 breeders within 10 mi of me. I just googled chinchilla breeders in my area. I am dropping off a 55 gal drum at one. They'll collect it for me, and call when the barrel's full. I volunteered to help clean cages, or whatever they needed done.
Now..... what to do with all that poo..............................................................

TheLastPirate.... Alice went "chasing rabbits" (code for dropping Acid). An Acid Trip was the inspiration for Alice in Wonderland, a great childrens story.
.
Chinchilla poop will work. Use it just like, bunny poop. Make sure to shift out the bedding material (pine shavings) that come along with it.
.
Keep it Real...Organic...... & I advise don't go "Chasing Rabbits".

If you grow organically & have never used Bunny Manure - consider it.
The NPK value of fresh bunny poop is 2.4-1.4-.6 So, it is actually stronger than chicken manure.
.
To use it - I like to make a tea & water in. One cup of fresh bunny poop per gallon of unchlorinated water. Bubble it with a cheap aquarium air pump / stone for a couple of days. or Pour it bucket to bucket, twice daily for three days. The left over crude - goes in the compost barrel.
.
or
.
Sun dry it - it turns to dust - top dress (2) tablespoons per gallon of soil in a container or 8 tablespoons max. - if top dressing a in ground plant.
.
& last but not least. Compost it. It really adds lots of good material to you compost & speeds things along - because of the high N content.
If you vermicompost - add one cup per gallon of bedding / medium weekly. The worms will do the rest. Extra sweet Worm Castings.....
.
Keep it Real .. Organic ... cause if we don't recycle, reuse & garden responsibly - what kind of world will our kids & grandkids end up living in ?
