Burning leaves is good?

So I am flowering with CFL's and it is getting a little crazy trying to keep the lights right on top of the plant without burning the fan leaves.

Is it worth it for me to just sacrifice some of them and burn them so I can get the lights closer to the rest of the plants?

Should I just chop the leaves next to the lights?

Thanks guys.

Do not burn them. This is simple to answer, if they are burning, the lights are too close. Increase the distance between plants and lights, your stressing the plant and its going to affect your yield. Move the lights just far enough way to stop the burning.

lst the plant if you have height restrictions. burning = damage, damage = slower growing even if you can get the lights closer its of no use if you're burning the plants.

Try mylar - not too expensive, and will be much better than paper. Also, although CFL's arent that hot, safety first. Something about lots of computer paper and bulbs makes me nervous.

If you have problems with height restrictions you should check out some threads on
how to crop plants to make them short stubby, and bushy. Plus best of all more yield!
I don't have enough time to explain it all but I am sure cropping methods can be
found in the frequently asked questions section of this site. You can try it if you ever
plant any more plants in the future

I have crazy space restrictions. I am trying to find the best way to get light to the young ones.
Sounds like you are biting off more than you can chew. Do you have seedlings going and others needing to go into flower in the same space?
