burnt leaves from lamps

So, i got two 2,400 lumen cfl bulbs, and i had them sitting about 4 inches away from my plant. i look up there one day, and i see that some of leaves were getting too hot, and sorta wilted up. I immediatly raised the lights, so no more leaves are getting burnt.

Question is: what should i do with the leaves that got "burnt"? Should i clip them off, or leave them on there? I have already pruned about 3 stems. Also, it has been growing for about a month, and the light cycle is 24/0. when should i start the budding cycle, and should i do 12/12 or 16/8?

thanks

If it was my grow I'd leave them to fall off in their own time, if they're dead then the plant will drop them when it's ready to.

You want to start flowering now if you started from clones or another 2-4 weeks if you started from seed unless you have lots of headroom and 1000W HPS. I'd say go 16/8 and if that seems to hamper bud growth you can then switch to 12/12.

Hope that helps.:peace:

the plant will not produce buds if it has more than 13 hours of light. u def want to go with 12/12. 18/6 not 16/8 is for vegging.

u can trim off the dead spots on the leaves if u want to. u dont have to cut the whole leaf off. otherwise just leave it alone.
