Burnt Leaves

Hey guys, I have a quick question. First so you know, I have two 23w cols that I am growing with. My seedling is twelve days old. Two days ago I put a very low amount of food yo stimulate growth, I also had(until now) the plant at about two inches away from the light. One of these two or both has burnt my leaves. My question, should I cut the burnt parts away or leave it be? Thanks in advance.

What medium is that? If it has any type of organic material in it, you don't need nutrients yet. ( soilless medium will use 1/4 nutes...or just a bit of superthrive)

What nutes do you have?

Looks like the light burned her.

No I wouldn't trim it, just use plain water. She needs those leaves, leave them....haha

Mg is okay in veg, but you want to upgrade your soil and nutes.

In the future I wouldn't cut the plant in anyway unless needed. If a leaf is dying wait for it to die all the way, then you can pluck it off very gently.

Well soil I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest...there are a number of good soils out there. Happy frog is another common one. A 22$ bag can last you a small grow.

Be sure to add in about 40% perlite to the mix for drainage, it will keep the soil nice and loose.

Nutes? What ever floats your boat. I am using Humboldt nutes right now but GH, pbp, bio......all popular. I like 3 part mixes (grow/micro/bloom) some people like 2 part (a / b)

There are a dozen supplements you could use too, but I rarely even play with them....hygrozyme and cal-mag seem to do the job.

What's wrong with using that pre-fertilized FF soil and perlite by themselves?. I see more problems here caused by overfeeding than any other.

It looks bleached out from the light (which probably happened because the leaves were beginning to burn anyway but still), and I mentioned above to NOT fertilize.

He is equiped with miracle grow, and that will NOT work in flower....so what ever dude. How about helping instead of making a useless post....this is the reason I have avoided making an account here. Big forums suck.

ya mg is hot so use at lhalf dose as a full dose. and i bet you didnt pH it to. and i think that looks like peat as a medium?. if so to low in ph to acidic. its almost locked out if it isnt already.

Oh yes it will work for flower. I used MG for 3 years, I just don't recommend it b/c it's great for the first month or so of vegging...not so much after that.

mg is more made for veggie crops and not pot. its needs in food levels are way different, thats hwy it dosent work as well. not to mention i dont think id smoke anything growin in it with all the bad chems in them. people are actualy getting sick making the stuff and have been sued over and over for bad practices. it works to a point but for a couple bucks more you could buy real hydro food for pot. if your opnly running 1 item of food being the mg than an all around food from hydro shop wont be much more...
