Burnt Leaves

So i upgraded from 4 CFLS to a 600w hps and my metal halide burnt my banana kush plant. I was rather upset it was beautiful and when i misted the leaves and didnt turn the light off it roasted the plant. I was so confused because under fluorescent it increased my yield but under an hps 400w or higher it will burn the leaves the water droplets work like magnifying glass and burn holes in your leaves. so take note from my mistake DO NOT Mist your plant under an hps without turning the light off. My og kush and Hybrid of Blue cheese and Blue dream are growing beautifully ill post pics soon. I recently put in a grow tent with a 6 inch inline fan for the air duct. Co2 tank coming soon. anyways, thanks for reading. ill keep posted. I expect a half pound to a pound with this grow. My last CFL grow yielded an ounce of beautiful fluffy nugs of blue diesel and girlscout cookies. i was unhappy with the yield and my nutrients are top notch so i had to make a change. Pictures coming christmas eve. (PS: My banana kush isnt lost, it will be saved. i expect it to be fully healed by next week, most of the brown and yellow leaves have been pulled off and its turning green again, i currently have 3 plants in the tent. if this grow goes well my next grow will consist of 5 plants in the tent with 5 clones in the old grow location.)

u probly hace ur lights way to close and if they are clone and they start turning yellow it could mean they are rooted and they are using nutes from the leaves to grow . also check with ur hand under the light for distance because if it feels like its burning ur hand ur probly burning your plants

also if ur heat is to high in ur room ur plants leaves will start to cringe and turn yellow if its to hot

Sounds like light stress or bleaching. That MH is way more intense than flouresents. You must harden plants to handle the stronger light. Put the MH as high as you can at first or introduce them to it gradually a hour a day adding and adittional hour every day or two.

I have a little light burn on my bubba right now. They got too close to the 400watter and the top set on each branch got some burn. I use a tent so height is limited and these suckers had a bit of a stretch when I switched to flower.
