well heres another update, just before watering. 1 of them has gone tall and thin, but the other 1 is stayin quite short and bushy. is it worth topping the taller and using it as a clone?

the shorter 1

that last pic of the fem hair is sooooo instructive...thanks for sharing that!....I'm coming up to prflowering here...and although I have a reasonable idea of the "balls" and what they look like in a pic..... being male 'n all....hahahahaha....this is really helpful!

Your plants would not have stretched as bad if you would have put Mylar or Panda Film on the walls, like the other guy had suggested. This would have reflected light down lower helping you plant to stay bushy. Just my opinion. I always try and keep reflective material close to my plants.

Also, how close are your lights? I never see them in the pictures.

I'm a 'newbie' for sure in my very first grow, but, from my research, reading and little bit o experience, if the two were grown in exactly the same conditions, which these obviously were, if one stretches it tends to turn out male. I know there are plenty of factors involved between strains, sativa vs indica, etc. but, all the males I've had to rip out have started out long and leggy, making me believe they were superior or very strong plants. Then they turned out male. I am growing from bag seeds so I have no idea if they are the same strain or which sack they came from, but that's my lil bit o knowledge.

Just one newbie opinion, not preachin!

yes i've heard the same things on here thats what i was worried about. then i seen the seed cluster on top, that was it chopped and bin'd it.

about 18" away, i dont think the female is streched at all. she's really bushy and short.
