The frontman for the Drive-by Truckers, Patterson Hood, is the son of David Hood, bassist for the MSRS. I really like their gritty approach to southern rock.
I said Duane and i meant Greg...Nothing better than a small venue. I once was into psychedelics in a very large way. Went to a small club called the Back Door. In there I was experiencing breathing walls and pulsating curtains, yup, I was trippin balls as it were. Anyway, a guy comes crawling out of the back of his ford van and it's none other than Charlie Musselewhite. Had one of the best evenings of music ever. Wayyyyybackwhen.Yea, I saw the Brothers twice. Once ABB and once the GAB. Greg's band was by far the better of the two shows. But it was in a small bar in Norfolk Va. Really close up and personal.
I have lots of Little Feat CD's, but never saw them play. I like Dixie Chicken best I guess, but they are kind of like the Dead in that they started a long time ago, and just never stopped putting out music.
I had a taste for the window pane back in my Navy days. Came home to a cattle farm full of magic mushrooms, with me broke as hell. I traded dried ones for smoke. But I ate too many, and did some serious kidney damage. Never did them again, and had to stop drinking because of it. {sodas too} I guess it saved me lots of money over the years.I said Duane and i meant Greg...Nothing better than a small venue. Damn, the mall is big time. I just have to eat a late lunch with some of her friends. I like them all fine, I'm just not into large groups. If there is like 5-6 of them it's no big deal. If it's closer to 10-12, I'd rather not.You go boy...Frickin brownies (points ) are hard to come by...lols gotta do her deal, did mine at the mall on a Saturday even ..sheesh
That would be a bitch. And here I was complaining about having houses across the river from our land. But they do suck. When I was a kid, I camped down there, and it always included a {skinny dipping} bath in the river. If I was to do that now the law would get called.Looks like fine country to me. You have good weather there for this time of year thats some beautiful scenery. Nice to get out and about. I did my walking for the day too. 5 days a week I go walk. I have to carry a can of mace and I use million volt tazer-walking cane to keep the 2 legged predators off. I was attacked by a 51/50 crazy ass not 4 weeks after retireing and got my butt handed to me.
The biggie around here, down at the coast at least, is erosion of beach sand during storms. The high winds create weird rip currents that can strip a beach of it's sand in just a few hours. I think a part of the bed tax goes toward beach restoration. Panama City Beach always had killer white sand. When they have to replace it with dredged sand, it isn't always as pretty.Nice! Here we use to do that at the beaches and the river bowls...the floods came and wiped all the bowls out, took out a lot of park lands and left 20 foot masses of driftwood on what we're Sandy white beaches , took years to correct but we got it all back. Pacific winter storms are nothing like hurricanes but can deliver a punch just the sames...wind is wind.
