As suggested earlier if you had a door to your op that you could lock the cops couldnt just open it, without first showing a warrent of course but at least they couldnt just walk in and start looking in unlocked rooms and closets.

Ya THINK? How many people here really know anything about Japanese culture? How many of you are aware of what Japan did during the war? How many have heard of the Boxer Rebellion, or know what the Japanese did in China and throughout the South Pacific? How many know that this stuff isn't taught in Japanese schools and so the average citizen tends to be blissfully unaware?

Actually, I lived in Okinawa and Japan for about a cumulative 6 years or so.. Sometimes I wonder if its better to be left out of the information pool when it comes to mass deaths etc.... The younger people in those cultures have different views than you would think, and they're nothing like young Americans' views.. Now I wonder why that is? Oh yeah media control on both ends duh!

Cops are the most arrogant bastards ever, they play everything up! it went before the judge on monday and plead not guilty. i got a lawyer and pre trial was set for today, the case was dismissed, and the judge gave me an order that i have to take to the police impound lot so i can get my lights back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey so glad to hear this! Congrats mate... now move & sue the landlord if possible!

i went and got a lawyer and he said that all of the evidence i have (video and audio) is legal and admissable in court, he told me that i shouldn't talk to the landlord because it may hurt my case against her because she could turn around and counter sue for harrasment, but i did talk to her and im trying to get her and her company to settle out of court so the lawyer doesn't take 30% of my freakin money, but 70% of whatever sounds better then 0% of nothin you know!

You could actually get her for braking and entering, invasion of privacy, oh and the housing board will fine the fuck out of her if you let them know. Renters have rights too actually some of your tax money goes to make sure shit like this does not happen. Look up your local rental laws. I mean you could have a cival suit. I would make her give you the last month free and she has to pay for you to move since you don't feel safe on the property. Just imagine if you were home crankin one out on youporn. The bill of rights was put in place for a reason! I would get that bitch back move out and then wait a lil while. Get some bag seed and go over and plant a shit load of plants in the back yard. Maybe start them some where else and bring them over when there a foot or so. Wear gloves and make sure no finger prints leave the bag of soil and evidence that she planted them after you moved possibly to off set the fact no one lives their and she has a morgage payment to make. One unanimous phone call from a pay phone stateing you smell an oder coming from the neighbors yard and you saw a women bringing what looked like marijuana into the back yard. Descies your voice on the phone because its recorded.ha bitch will be going to court herself....

Hmm.. hold on a minute...

Are you thinking of sue'ing the landlord / landlady because she violated your rights or are you trying to make a few bucks?

If you really fell that the landlord violated your rights, then don't scrimp on your legal advice, you need representation to give your case the best chance of success. I do agree that you don't wan't any money you recieve being totally used up in paying a lawyer, but the way to handle that is this; If your lawyer is as confident as he sounds that you have a valid case, then he should put his money where his mouth is & agree that his fees will be charged on top of whatever compensation is awarded you, therefore guarganteing that you recieve 100% of the money. Ask him to do that, & if he doesn't agree then do as you please....

But if you're just after a quick buck, then just roll the dice & go for it alone. Good luck.

I think contingency may be the best route. That way, the attorney only gets paid if bakin.beans gets paid. That comes at a cost, and the rate is different in different areas of the country and depending on the suit. Personal injury, workers comp., and auto accidents are all areas where you should be able to find an attorney to represent you on a contingency basis. Other areas of course require a retainer, such as with any criminal law case where you're not receiving a public defender.
