Buying clones from a friend vs. ordering seeds online.

Which do you think is safer? Buying clones is a hundred times easier but thats one more person that knows what im doing. The less people that know the better. But ordering online seems really sketchy to me also. Not worried about being busted for the seeds themselves but just more people knowing whats going on or making people suspiscious.

I think when u deal with a mother, its best to have it in hydro.
but if u deal with a mother in soil you'll learn a lot more, learning curve i say about 4 to 6 months... thats me..
and you flowering time will be a breeze if you start of this way.

but ya, i simply have a friend who purchases seeds to his house for me.
but that is why seed shops are in business, just check a local one if u dont want to use a credit card,

attitude seeds is marked under attitude gifts, and if u order with a t shirt it is very stealth, skip ordering with a mug or anything with weight to it as drugs are very valueable and even a mug being shipped will be check cause its potential value if it is an illegal substance, so stick to the tshirt when ordering from attitude.

The one problem from seed is that youll have to make clones yourself and that is a learning process as well, currently only sixty percent of mine survive.

lol im pretty sure an order came in and it had a fake return address even lol, payment through cash and money order are available as well so that would be safe.

Im sure he would but they are not his plants and i am giving him a few bucks to go out of the way to get some for me. Its not like im giving him alot of money just a few bucks for the favor.

If you buy a clone from someone growing and you are not in a legal state, What he is doing is illegal, I really dont think if he did get busted he'd tell the cops about every clone he's sold, or the cops would really care unless he's doing it by the 1000's.

Personally I'd be sketch about ordering seeds and having them confiscated, Unless they were in no way connected to me. But in my situation thats not possible, I stick with clones and old bag seeds. Make your own crosses so you don't get bored.

Yah thats true your right Hilltop the clones is a way better idea. As far as him not being my real friend I guess technically he would be an aquaintance and im not going to have him go out of his way to get me some clones without giving him a few bucks. I see what your saying though Jack if they were his plants and he wanted to sell me clones that would be messed up.

I would say to go with the clones if they are of a decent strain. I have been lucky to never have had to order seeds, but I know plenty of people on here have with no issues. If you go with seeds just make sure it's a reputable seed bank!

I just give clones to people that have use for them...lol. I mean what work am I doing precisely to get a clone...the plant is the star here, and I can't take credit for that...lol. I have never understood people selling clones, or buying clones...
I have these plants that if I remove a branch the branch will grow a new plant, and the original plant will grow 2 branches to replace the one I took, seems wrong to charge for nature in such a manner...
One of my friends had a strain he had ordered and I just asked him, hey can I cut off a branch?...no skin off his back or mine...or the plant's really...

But in the way of people not knowing seeds through the net are the most secure of your options...unless you just want this other person to know...

Order the seeds online, then you can pick out whatever strain you want. Attitude Seeds was pretty legit and discreet. I got the guaranteed delivery and got a sweet tshirt with my "keychain."

But like they most everyone said, if it's a close friend and I'll just kick them the clones for free and a kickback of some product is greatly appreciated. It doesn't take very much effort to cut, dip, and place it in my aerocloner.

I give my extra clones to a few people. Other then that I sell them even to my friends. They come here get free smoke when there here but if they want to take it home they pay. I need to pay my bills and a friend understands that. But for the OP I would say get the clones from your friend. Once he knows your growing and knows you know he's growing you might have a friend that can help you with any problems you have. And it's someone you already trust and might know where you live so no big deal if he comes over. Once you get a good hand on growing get seeds. Then give him a few for his help. Then sell or traid with him from there. After all he got you started.

there are positives and negatives to both imo..

clones.. someone should have already did the hard work of pheno selection, and you should end up with a very good specific pheno of w/e strain..
clone only's.. some strains aren't available in seed form, so clones is the way, only way really..

you know when you buy the seeds that you're getting exactly what you paid for if bought from legit seed bank and in breeders packaging..

you can't ever be 100% sure that what you're getting is what it is said to be
bugs / powdery mildew, and assorted critters are very common among clones, so you have to be very careful when bringing clones in from an outside source into your grow space..

you will have to do some work on pheno selection and picking out that one fire pheno.. some breeders make this work easier, some not so much..

Where I came from if you sell to friend's or relative's your a bottom feeder if you can't afford it you just don't do it! It's your choice when someone come's over weather to pull out your stash or not....if you have clone's that are not going into rotation then you can kill them or give them to a loving home...my choice even with stranger's! Hey different stroke's for different folk's you wouldn't cut it in my circle! jack

  • That was going to be my point. I had a trade offer not to long ago. I just gave him some of mine with a bugs and mildew disclaimer and said no thanks, I have had both in the past and have overcome them. With the point I am at, with the plants I have and love, no other plant is really worth the risk of losing more. RIP Apollo 11 and Sweet Tooth 1.1 and her grapefruit leaning sister. Haha​

Don't get me wrong. I tried. Everyone asked and I gave clones. 3 weeks later that ask for more cuz the first died. Gave more. They died. After time I gave up on the freebees. And now only give to the people that will give back. This is a business for me not a charity for the world. And I will give to people of less fortion if they ask. That and you gotta know my family to understand. Bunch of ingrates.

Yeah. Medical marijuana charity thing... man... there are some people. Definitely. The people who reeeally need are the minority. That is for sure.

But, I work haaard labor for a living. it doesn't matter how much weed i smoke, my knees and back always hurt. Saying bong rips are going to take away knee pain is a joke. Honestly, sometimes it makes it a little worse I think.

the entitlement and holyer than thou in the medical scene is unreal.

Don't feel bad, Warlock, for not giving away clones.
