Glad to hear that I've helped. If you take any advice from me, it's skip this tek, it's horrible xD Look into growing with grain (rye, popcorn) in place of the BRF. You'll need a pressure cooker but it's much better. I'm starting another grow I'm going to make a journal for next week, using rye and horse manure to do a bulk monotub. I'm gonna finish this one out too, and use the best cake for genetics and probably stop the PF Tek. Here's a picture of my furthest jar:

Yes I would reccomend WBS , but I also wouldn't because it smells like ass
One of my BRF jars is all the way colonized besides about a sq. cm on the bottom!
Gettin pretty excited right about now..
Hell yeah man, I wish I was that far along
Just a side question, what size PC would I need if I need to sterilize 7 quart jars? Could I get away with like 16 qts and do 2 cooks?

Is my rocker broken? All the pics I'm seeing have a big round thing on the right, mine's just a rod.

I'm pretty sure the rocker is what regulates the pressure.
They are pretty cheap though, here is one I found online.

Without that pressure regulator, all of the pressure will leak out and the water will never get hotter than boiling point and it will act just like a pot of boiling water at atmospheric pressure. That's how a pressure cooker works, it keeps in the pressure so the water can get hotter than boiling point (supercritical fluid).
I'm sorry to hear your first PF TEK didn't work out. I've heard that PF is the simplest method for a beginner and I've seen all the pictures where mycelium turns the cake into a giant marshmallow, from experienced growers at least. I'm thinking of trying it out soon and I'm hoping it doesn't turn out to be a dud, I.E. it would be nice to have my first ever mushrooms harvest at the same time as the first cannabis harvest from my newly retrofit LED stealth. Have you opened the jar to see what might have gone wrong? Maybe too much water boiled off when you were sterilizing or something. I doubt it's bad syringes if you got them from two different shipments with the same result. If you haven't thrown them out yet and one is dry you could try to sterilize some water and inject a little into the others to rescue them.
Well think of this not as a failure but as a success in learning what not to do this time around.

I'm gonna give them a while, they're aren't hurting anything and they could still colonize.
If I were you I'd skip the PF Tek
I got 12/24, it had to be with the boiling of the jars if anything. I guess I have to invest $19 in a new regulator weight xD

Maybe those jars messed up with that little mishap with the incubator and it killed off the myc?
They could still very well colonize though, most strains of myc are extremely vigorous.

Yeah I mean that would make sense, but 6 of the first 12 went in at the same time as the last 12, they were originally just sittin in my room.
