C-99 From PeakSeedsBC

Stuffed 5 seeds in some dirt this morning, after giving them a quick soak. I put them in Pro-Mix with more water than they needed and put them in the living room a few feet away from the wood stove. The lamp they are surrounding has a 26W CFL grow bulb; more to follow...

Day 1: My five cups of soggy dirt have become 5 cups of moist dirt. Plants are either, still not sprouted, or some kind of new, invisible strain of marijuana. Time will tell...

Day 4: My damp cups of dirt are unchanged, except the cup labelled 'D' Last night I saw the first signs of a sprout before going to bed. Upon waking up this morning, the sprout has continued to sprout leading me to the only obvious conclusion: only one of the plants are the visible strain variety, meaning the other four must be invisible! I'm so excited.

Yeah man don't water them babies until the cups get "light" I mean when you pick them up they should be noticeably light . Little sprouts will definitely do better with minimal water! You got that? Plants absolutely fail to thrive if their roots are in soil that's too wet. The younger they are the the more sensitive they are. It's not unusual to wait a week or more in some cases before you water again. It's hard to kill a plant by withholding water.

Great! Don't water them though until those cups feel empty. You'll get it when you see them begin to thrive in a nearly dry cup. Same same applies for containers too

Yes always go by weight of cup not so much looks. Sounds like your starting on the right track with the right help though. Keep us posted! :-)

Question: I didn't see C-99 on the Peak seed web site. Where did you get those seeds?

Oh! One more important detail, make sure you go to the right site: http://peakseedsbc.com/index.htm

There's another site, capitalizing on the success of PeakSeedsBC. They've made their site look similar to the PeakSeedsBC site; I won't list it here, but I'm sure that you can find the copy cat site pretty easily.

Thanks for the reply!! I've had good results from that breeder but didn't know about the C-99. I bought back in 2006 some skunkberry that worked out nicely. Good prices too.

Well, I found a light that they could easily get closer to, and they stretched some more. I may have to grab some more CFLs to help augment the lamp grow light.

13 days since planting the seeds:

The 5th one never germinated, so yesterday I chucked it. The other 4 are doing well, although stretching has been an issue:

I moved them under a T5 grow light and had prop them up with old, dried stems that I still had. The CFL grow light, that I had in my table lamp, has been moved to my Clone-o-matic 9000 (http://rollitup.org/t/cloning-help-i-suck-at-cloning-help.901886/page-3#post-12409975)

I am contemplating keeping a male to pollinate the Sour Kosher and the Holy Grail Kush, just to see what happens.
