Ok guys so first off here is my set-up. 400W HPS temps stay about 80-85 during the day. I am growing in soil with full Botanicare Organics. This weds. will be the 6 week mark for flowering. Anyone have an idea as to why my plants may be producing these weird cabbage leaves?

That is some funny looking shit. They look fine to me, might just be the strain, but then again I am a newb.

looks like a phosphorous deficiency to me. phosphorous is essential in for photosynthesis and bud growth, deep green leaves are the first sign, followed by browning

edit: i just now saw what you're talking about. the new growth, i was looking at how deep green they were in a couple pics

editedit: i cant say ive particularly seen that before... but new growth from added nitrogen does seem like a possibility

editx3: wtf strain is that anyway. looks like it's had some weird issues throughout life honestly

Thanks guys I had a pretty good idea that it was Nitrogen toxicity. The only problem is I am having trouble fixing it. Everytime I Put PH'ed Clearex treated water to flush it out the leaves start to yellow and look like Nitrogen deficiency. Any ideas? I would really like to get this solved. Also one last question since this is my first grow. What are the different growth stages during flowering? When does it gain most of its height? Also when does it gain most of its bulk or weight?

Got the cabbage problem, for the second time. Thought it was too much N first time, but it is happening again, not a severe. I am suspecting the strain. What did you find out?

I'm growing an unknow 100% indica strain that a vietnam vet gave me and it looks just like that. Would put my money on it being the strain. Was ugly bud but god damn it knocked you on your ass.

Probably right, it may be the strain. Am surprised so few have encountered this cabbage problem. Those cabbage tops are useless, I found, so am cutting them off Boo Hoo.

Looks to me like it's genetics, I've grown a Blueberry x Grand Daddy Purple that shows this characteristic, good luck to you.
