Cabinet autoflower grow (just two of em)

Hello poeple,

I am new here and have recieved much help from this site from just looking around. I thought it might be time I contribute.
So....
I am growing two autoflowring strains I bought in a picknmix internet website:
1 Lowryder #2
1 Auto bubble candy
The second strain is completely unknown and havent seen anybody talk about it, I only bought it because it was autoflowering, claimed to be a high yeild, and was recommended by the website. This is my first grow by the way.

Ok...setup is as follows.
- 10L of all purpose compost per bucket. Bucket has been punctured a few times at the bottom. Top soil covers the allpurpose compost because it was starting to get mouldy.
-1 125w CFL blue spectrum and a 200W HPS double spectrum.
-very diluted urine in most water during the veg stage, and tomato flowering fertilizer ( NPK 4-8-4.5)
-small ventilator

My method:
germination was a success in less than 24h. Both seeds were placed in a plate with wet jay cloth on both sides and a plate on top. This was put in the small boiler room which is warm dark and humid.

immediately after germination they were placed in the buckets at 2-4cm under soil. This was a bit tricky as the soil I use is full of chunky bits and bits of bark and stuff. Until today (11th day) only a CFL was used as that is mine and the hps isn't. The CFL was 5inches away from the plants, and was on 24/0 for the first 7 days, now it's 20/4.

I am using my lights in this way now. The HPS is on 20/4 and is off from 2a.m. till 6a.m. the closet is right in front of my bed and it's fucking annoying to sleep with light seeping out of the closet. I am using the CFL too so as to re-create natural environment somehow: it is on from 3p.m. till 9p.m. (the HPS is on as well at this time). The HPS is directly above the plants with a reflector and the CFL is at the side of the plants so that once the plants are big, the lower leaves recieve light as well. When flowering starts, only the HPS will be on.

Urine is used as a fertilizer, diluted in tap water (UK tapwater seems to be not too bad). Urine contains nitrates and is slightly alkaline, which will combat the nature of soil which is to gradually become more acidic. The tomato fertilizer will be used 2 weeks from now, slightly before flowering so as to "induce" it.
I do not control the pH or temperature or how often do i water, I just try to keep the soil near the plant constantly moist. Not too moist as I am sure the ruderalis genes are quite used to scarce resources.

The plants are 11 days old, have 4 true established leaves and are developing 6 new leaves each. (PICS WILL COME ONCE IT LOOKS INTERESTING)
The auto bubble candy is slightly bigger and more developed than the lowryder, but are practically the same. BTW from now on auto bubble candy will be MARY and lowryder will be JANE.
Mary is 4inches, Jane is 3.

Problem:
I will be leaving the UK around the 8th-10th of August and coming back in September, so the plants neeeeeed to be done before this. This allows a maximum plant lifespan of around 67 days. Therefore it is critical that i harvest before this. I think my method will ensure as rapid growth as possible, another problem is i misread the description on the auto bubble candy, apparently it is ready for harvest 56 days AFTER start of flowering, not as the lowryder promises which is 60days from seed to harvest. Could this be a typo?
Any suggestions?
much love:peace:

I don't know if nobody cares about my journal because I talk too much and bore you poeple, or because there are no pics.
I will solve the second part, not the first because i dont think i talk that much.

My plants are on DAY 16 since seed.
The shorter plant that stands straight is the Lowryder #2 (Jane) and the other is the auto bubble candy (Mary) who is standing slightly slanted but is taller.
So what do you think?
Good growth for 2 weeks? Should they be bigger, smaller?
thanks in adfvance

BTW the blue glass with the weird looking stuff inside is yeast water and sugar....I know it maybe doesn't do much but I just thought it may help with CO2

They are now at day 18 and new leaves are branching out of every established branch. Plus two new 5-piece leaves coming out the top! Looking good and healthy!
Leaves are starting to droop so I am not going to be watering for a few days.
Also, height hasn't really changed in the slightest. Was wondering if there was any way of increasing height output?

To try and aid in height and growth speed I have been feeding a mixture of diluted NPK 10-4-2 (baby bio), milk and honey. On the basis that calcium from milk and other trace elements from both milk and honey could aid in non-foliar growth. Maybe will change photoperiod from 20/4 to 18/6

What do you think, poeple? Suggestions? It is my first growth so feedback is appreciated.

PICS will come when changes are most noticeable.
:peace:

sweet. my diesel ryders (half lowryder 2 / half NYC diesel) advertise a 6+ week flowering period, so, yes 8 weeks is possible. also, my diesels finish in 9 weeks (63 days) from seed, so I think 60 days for your ryders sounds good too. i dont think theres a typo. to make your plants taller, youre gonna want to make your light further away from your plants (raise it up). if you dont have room for that theyll be fine anyway. just more on the short and wide end of the spectrum (which i would prefer ). @ day 16, mine were about the same size too. lookin good!

I do want them to be short and bushy instead of tall....but they just look really short! I have seen some lowryders out there that end up being as tall as mine and giving like 2g of dry stuff. That is NOT what I want!
Good to know that yours were the same size! Although the latest pics are day 18.
UPDATE.
Mary has been fimmed because she was a fat bitch in comparison to Jane. And for experimental purposes. Pics in like 3-4 day time when progress has been made.
Plus, more milk and baby bio has been given to aid in FIM recovery (nitrogen, calcium, potassium, vitamin B1, B12)

btw mate how much did you yield from your diesels? The next grow I do I think I may go for Purple Jems, Diesel Ryders and Afghan ryders. Purple Jems because they are purple, Diesel ryders because Ive heard good things about the taste, and Afghan ryders because of potency. Hows the diesel taste? exceptional?

DAY 19
Ive been giving the plant half a pint of water with v. diluted milk and baby bio.
MARY seems to have gotten slightly taller but mostly the same. Some changes in the FIM area and leaf size aswell
JANE seems very much the same and I hope it picks up the pace!
I suppose JANE will be harvested first as I want to try my homegrown smoke and MARY who is apparently the better smoke will be left to grow big and strong as it will take longer to recover from FIMming.

yeah you wont get much if they are too short. actually the diesels are still going right now, a week/two from harvest. i have a journal on them with some pretty good pics. it looks like i might average half ounce each? idk. they do smell really good. like a dank / oil smell. ill let you know how they taste once i harvest and dry

Do you think your diesels were the same height as mine at day 18? I hope it isnt shorter than it should be. I think they are looking really pretty now though and dont really mind their height as foliage is doing well and more leaves = more starch = more cellulose = more stem. I have raised the HPS quite a lot as i think heat was being counterproductive.
BTW, if I make the plant consume more water by heat and air, does this speed up growth?

DAY 20
No advance in height but internode leaves are growing nicely, FIM on Mary is recuperating and slowly growing, new leaves are sprouting from eeeeeeeeeverywhere in Jane. FIM is hard to see but apart from the dysmorphic leaf growing up, the branch has seemed to have divided in at least two....booya!
To be honest I dont know if there are advances in height but I give up with trying to make it grow taller... I love them for who they are and not for who I want them to be.
More Baby Bio and Milk for them, they suck up so much of it and dont seem to complain. Except for curling leaves but that was heat so i increased the HPS light distance.
Here are my beautiful plants.

Looks good man don't worry about the height they will start climbing when they start to flower. Keep up the good work.
