Cal/Mag?

dont knkw the specs if my local watering supply i usually put local water out in glass and let it sit out for a while to hopefully get the chlorine out. been noticing my plants been exhibiting cal/mag def symtoms. plant is showing rust spots on some not all leaves, semi brittle in the sense i can break off a leaf, also had semi warped growth also have noticed stems to leaves had been exhibiting purple streaks which ive read are a indicator of cal/mag i have the macros pretty much covered so i highly doubt it is a phosphorus or potassium def in vegg

Looks like beginning stages of a potassium and phosporous deficiency even though you "highly doubt it." Phosphorous def are those black splotches in pic1,2, and 4. Potasium def in pics 5,6, and 7. If you zoom in the edges are starting to get light green some are getting dry. I dont see any apparent calcium or magnesium def. Remember its not cal/mag def its calcium or a magnesium def and they can occur and cannot occur at the same time.

so you’re telling me when i amended my soil mix and added sea bird guano for my p and langbienite for my k i didnt add enough? pretty sure i covered all my macros in the mix

Thats what im seeing man. It could be a lockout in your soil too.

will probably giver her a flush i tested ph soil a day and ago and came out to a 6.5
hopefully i can sort this out soon was hoping to set her outside for flower, obviously not now till i sort this out.

Jack's fertilizer always keeps the leaves green automatically it seems. I use Jacks Veg, Bloom, and AquaGold finisher, and San Diego chlorine tap-water. I never use cal-mag or silica, and I never, ever pH my water. My branches this year were 2-3ft. long this season and I bent them crazy and never broke a branch. For me, Jack's is the non-organic go-to.
If I'm going to spend 6.5 months growing sativa, I cannot and will not allow my time to be wasted on pests or growing problems. I never saw an aphid this season. I saw a grasshopper bite a leaf and die. I never saw a caterpillar. I never saw a moth. We have citrus trees 75 ft. away and they have aphids. I had none. TetraSan and Kontos in that order. Cease, Milstop, BT, and Spinosad get mixed as one solution and sprayed. Takes care of mold, and bud-rot. None of that this year either. Best crop I've ever had in my entire life (7 whole season's mind you!), but with great mentoring, great seed-stock, and my willingness to forego cannabis "additives" and cannabis "voodoo". Keep it simple, keep it cheap.

i get you brother, dont think it was cal/mag i also use Sd water and realize that if was just most likely to much P as i top dressed a tbsp of it and then when the plant became ill looking.

Did you add calcium to your soil? Sometimes too much calcium causes lockout.
Purple stems are a phos def. Symptom.

The only way to know for sure is just get a soil test done...

"TetraSan and Kontos in that order. Cease, Milstop". You're looking at about $500. worth of poison here. Expensive at the outset, but you're also buying about 3-4 seasons of real farming pest control (number of plants depending). DoYourOwnPest Control has the best prices, but Kontos is $200. + and available on amazon. Farm-life without pests is a new world and you should be a part of that. No Farm/Soil/Pests Problems Allowed. We're all season farmers here. Real farmers are in total control of their environment. We're Kings!
The key to not pH-ing the feed-water is "Jacks". While not advertising the fact, the fact is, that if your tap (garden hose) water won't kill you if you drink it, then Jack's will put green leaves on your plants, no matter the pH. And that is their unadvertised promise which they do not promise, but will happen. Guaranteed. Jack's is the "Miracle Grow" for vegetables. Kellogg's raised-bed topsoil is the one to use. Organic as all heck, and they advertise that.
Growing cannabis is meant to be pure-d pleasure. If you have growing problems you're not having maximum fun. And FUN is FUN. Have fun, not misery.
And, though AuqaGold finisher is available in small quantities on ebay, which is great, consider purchasing an entire 26lb. bag from MartinsProduce. Ships for free in a priority USPS box that will fit inside a large rural mailbox.

The only way to know for sure is just get a soil test done...

think a excess of phosphorus caused a lockout.i flushed twice so far, starting to see newer growth grow without burn or curl. heres to hoping she fixes herself up.

Let them dry-out some. Upcan them to a 7-gal. fabric pot, but add a little more perlite to the soil. You could start using Jack's Veg nutes, that will straighten them out. If it does, then use Jacks bloom nutes, and if that goes ok, then uses Jacks AquaGold finisher in flower. Here's the first nutes to get you started, but also included is the bloom nutes. Try it. For $20. you might get the cure your looking for. :peace:

I used to always ph my water at 6.5 until the guy at the hydro shop suggested lowering my ph to 5.8 - 6.2 and have had much greener and healthier plants. I use foxfarm soil and Coco A and B nutes with additives.

The bigger plant is a 10 year old King Louie clone and went through a reveg and started growing single blades due to to much superthrive. I flushed and is now blooming beautifully.

The other is a 9 leaf Chemonade bred by TrueCanna and grown by me

The answer to someone having lock out due to over fertilization is not to add more fertilizer to their soil.
Plus jacks is synthetic. .....you don't even know if he is organic or not.

No way is Jacks Organic. Organic-Smorganic..... does it really matter with nutes designed for vegetables since 1946? Kelloggs Raised-Bed Soil is organic, the chemical pest killers are organic, or are used in an organic growing atmosphere, such as Cease, TetraSan, and Milstop. I cannot find any negatives about Jacks, and until I do, Jack's is King!
Imo, let your soil dry out for a couple of days, then use Jack's veg 20-20-20 (1 tsp/gal.) and let Jacks cure your plants problems. It will.
