Calculated Risk: please help me decide what to do with my plot.

DEAR ROI members,

so there is a road that goes to a less than popular hiking spot, the beauty of this is if I leave my car there it doesn't stand out as fishy...
it is near a river/creek that no one would ever swim in, nor fish in (unless they're retarded)

Benefits= I put 5 grow bags on the river bed area next to natural shrubs and logs so it blends it a bit, there are only 5 so I don't worry too much about it, it is not my only site for this season. Water is clean and close, sun exposure is maximum! Easy to get to, not a far walk, no sign of human footprints or garbage nearby, had to go through shrubs and inconvenient hill side to get down to the river/creek.

Down side= It is literally a 10 minute walk from the parking lot. I thought this might be too close? But it is the opposite direction of the foot trail that people walk on, and in fact itself is not a foot trail. I think it might be a bit close? I plan on planting in the rain at night so no one would be out there tho,

there is dense forest all around so I thought that would mask any smell, plus we have naturally occuring skunk cabbage out here that smells like weed so people probably wouldn't even think twice if they smelt it?

Personal supply. I'll be happy if I get a couple ounces so if one or two gets eaten by deer its all good. I just want a little bit of personal stash..

This being said what do you think? Too risky? Worth a shot?

Also how developed should the seedlings be before I put them outside (how many leaf sets>.._)

thanks

i would say its a little risky. whats the parking lot for? the trails? also got to think about river flowing. i live near a river that can raise 30 feet when it rains...

Yeah man I wouldn't trust that I live near a massive nature center and I was going to put Myne out there next to a river and my buddy watched it for a few days and we thought it was goin to a good spot but people always follow rivers and streams and all that stuff around here I wouldn't risk it there man

ahh shite, thanks for the comments guys. Its going to be hard to abandon if I do because I left 5 fully mixed soil perlite grow bags out there ready for planting! I have a lot of seedlings to work with and am thinking of maybe just putting the weakest/lamest seedlings out there and coming back in september to see if there is any bud... I was going to put some good ones out there. Definately not a site that I would frequent other than a couple fertilizings. I have about 15 seedlings and don't want all my eggs in one basket. Hmm. Well I guess I will just plant some of the little guys out there and keep my fingers crossed... maybe I will take you r advice about the river raising (which should be at its peak by now?) and move them to a higher ground. I wish I could cross the river but its too gnarly to cross without getting fucked up by mother nature lol. Hmm... maybe I can find a way to cross it. It's definately not friendly hiking terrain and I'm more concerned about helicopters than people walking by, even though its so close, because its really not a place to hike to without crawling through brushes...

basically upstream and downstream about 15 minutes walk is accessible and out of site by foot but you can't walk downstream to this place, maybe I can take a pic when I'm out there. so you know what I mean. I"m going to have to consider this again. I will not make this my primary spot after reading your suggestions, hopefully just another egg that will hatch later. I will go with a fishing rod in case I get busted.
