Cali Connection Feminized Seeds

On many MJ web sites recently, I've read that Cali Connection feminized seeds produce a lot of hermies.

Plz don't trash feminized seeds in general, because that's all I've grown from for 7 years, and I've had a grand total of one hermie during that time. Only one. In 20+ grows. So I know that feminized seeds work well, when they're ordered from reputable seedbanks/breeders like Sannie's and Serious Seeds.

Cali Connection has some strains I'd like to try, and their regular seed strains seem to perform quite well.

Does anyone here have personal experience with their feminized seeds?

Thanks.

The only way I would do CC again is like guy above said a separate tent. Only CC strain that I have had that has not hermie that was from a Fem bean was Green Crack. I've done several strains from CC and all but GC have turned she male on me. I use to do all Fem but then when I finally started doing reg beans I notice that the best keeper phenos and dankest smoke is in packs of reg beans. I still do fem but not as often anymore.

I got 5 femmed CC Sour D seedlings going and while I've heard the stories of hermies, you folks are just scaring the shit out of me now :o.

So I've read some stuff about this issue... it seems chem dominant lines tend to do this on the first run at times but not from clone. Also lower branches not getting much light can stress out from the lack of light and produce hermies as well. Some things to consider. Don't let them get root bound. Do not overfeed them (I really recommend organic here but to each their own be judicious). No light leaks. Then if you get hermies you know it's a straight intersexed plant, but I suspect a lot of them might be avoidable.

I'd also consider running any good plants that showed nanners again from clone. They might not come back. It's known phenomenon in more than one line.

Hermaphrodite plants are usually caused from stress from what I understand. Some plants are more stress sensitive than others, so swerves SFV OG that is in almost every cross may just be one of those strains. Also keep in mind that your feminized seeds are being produced by self pollination. So if SFV OG is already stress sensitive by inducing self sexing with it or anything in its genetic line, it may be making the seed crop even more stress sensitive. I am not an expert these are just things I've heard over the years.

I have not grown out his fems, but out of 20 818 regular Headband seeds I got 12 females and not 1 hermied on me. 6 were keepers IMO! Granted my room is usually 72-76 degrees, humidity between 40-50%, no light leaks, I water on a precise schedule, and always give new strains low amounts of fertilizer, besides CaMg and trace minerals. I have never had a hermie from any breeder feminized or not with these practices.

If you took short cuts in your room, then you may be more prone to heraphodies. This time of year heat stress is what plagues a lot of growers.

Very true. I am doing a run if cc gear right now.

my room us pretty much dialed in. Still, off the bat, 2 plants, immediately showed male and female gender.

I can't blame this on heat, light leaks, or over feeding being the only feed they had was kelp and organic tea.

it's definitely in the genetics. That being said, I found one of the best plants from seed I have in many years from the same seed stock.

I totally disagree that swerves hermies are made from stress. Certain strains like boss hog, blue dream haze, deadhead all seem to herm out at the end of the run. Week 7ish and considering they aren't getting pumped with nutes and the temps are all clear doesn't make sense to me.

Fems or regulars?

I got 6 fire phenoos from two packs. I would say the genetics when they don't herm are quite legit..
Yeah ive done grew every strain from his first releases on attitude. Found a few keepers but was young and did not hold on to them long enough. I would def grow tahoe along with pre 98 bubba agaian as those were the best to me. I still have a couple packs left of his gear but after going 8/8 males on the osd I put his gear to the back of the line.

Well if I had that experience I would be right there with you.

Well with their attitude promo I'm about to get 40 seeds form them so whenever I get around to starting them I'll document the whole process for everyone.
