Cali Feb To May finish Outdoors

So Im seeing everyone having the same problem as me. Leafy buds. I think its the cold temps tho, not the lengthening days like I expected the problem to be. Im covering mine every night with a trash can so its not the photoperiod. Theres a guy growing indoor somewhere cold, and his growroom has been as cold as our Cali nights, and his plants look the same. Slow growth, leafy buds. My plants have been out over a month, and just finally getting going. Hardly stretched too. And their sisters indoors only a few weeks in flower are exploding and doubling in hight. (pic 3)

Im gonna paint my trashcan today to block out more light. Its plastic, and letting some light thru. Maybe that will help. Along with warmer weather. Well its getting cool and rainy again this week.....

i put these plants out in jan. growth has been slow & buds not big enough to be of much use gonna snip buds & let plants revert back for fall harvest im in cen-cal it might work in so-cal

Okay first let me say I have plenty of clones inside. I found a male from seed DJ SHORT blueberry I have two females out there also DJ Shortblueberry. I have a few other strains out also. My question to you all should I pull the male or let nature take its course. I will have seeds for sure that I could pick off all the females present. Will give my decision after so many respones Help.

I'd let it pollinate, however, I'd cut off as many pollen sacs from the male as possible so you're females don't get too seedy.

here's mine so far, just phone pics though...

id let it pollinate and get hella seeds . right now i would rather have a ton of seeds than a small amount of bud any ways but its up to you.

leaning towards Medi mary's suggestion sounds better everytime I read it oh and I got a healthy green crack female out there also

I think everyone should post up dry nug pics of their spring harvest....I'll probably cut mine around the last week of april maybe first week of may

Businessman me I have alot of friends and I travel the country. So I would need alot of seeds when I travel select growers would be given seeds. Also who knows may meet you on my travels one day . I will put some pics up of the seedy buds when it happens Humble.

thank you!....they aren't doing bad considering that they are only in a 1/2 gallon of soil. They originally started in 4" x 4" rockwool blocks and when I put them out I sat them in 1 gallon grow bags but only filled the bags half way with soil. I considered transplanting into 3 gallon buckets but I don't think it'd be worth it as they are a few weeks away from finishing.

Humble that makes sense as they ae almost done you could topedess them though. Well they look great enjoy the smoke.
