I am interested in going with a stadium grow in the next week or so. I would like to hear from anyone that has experience with, or know a bit about certain details of the design. One question is with the lights being hung vertically in the middle of the room, do I need different sockets or bulbs from the ones im using now? I have regular hydrofarm sockets in air cooled hoods with switchable ballasts for 1000 watt hps/mh bulbs. So can I just take the hoods off the socket and hang the socket and socket wiri from the ceiling dropped into the middle of the room? This is the room im working with..The light in the last picture is the type of lights I and would want to use those sockets vertically if possible....Any and all help is appreciated...This will be a nice one if I can get the details worked out quick before Im done harvesting my crop now...

I can use either 3 or 4 1000 watt hps switchable lights in the room...I think 3 will be good though...

I have been trying to find out some info on stadium grows also. Cali i wish i could do a setup with the amount of light that you will be using but i dont have the room for it. I am thinking about a stadium grow with just a couple 250w hps. I figure that i could get some pretty good yields like this. But i only have about a week to figure it out because i need to get another grow started in that amount of time so i can get a harvest every month. I will keep an eye on this thread. I just hope someone will post some info on how they did it.

I seen a stadium grow on here a while back and he had 3 lights in the middle of the room in a straight line.then shelves built up like stadium seating. It looked bad ass. I can't wait to see this one.I know you will do it right...

yea I know to hang them vertical...I just wanted some general info about the setup...my main question is if I can use the sockests I have now on my 1000's to hand vertically? no hoods or maybe the umbrella hoods...also ventilation will have to be set up differently sonce im not pulling air from the hoods...so any help will be good....

yes, if you can remove your moguls/sockets from the reflector....sure!

put them in a big ass cooltube or find a glass tube that can withstand the heat! once you aircool the tube (for 3k i would use like AT LEAST 650cfm fans), your heat will pretty much be under control!!!

OK///..cause some people say you have to have a different socket and bulb to hang vertically....so if I can use the ones I have now im good.....no tubes though...just the bulbs hanging...so I will probably go with a 12 inch fan for exhaust or something....

im trying to tell you.....if you dont aircool the lights in a sealed tube/reflector those 3k watts of heat will warm the room hella much, let alone the house.

well not really......im still needing some inside on this method.....I just want to get some specs or something on lighting per square foot, or how low or high the lights should be depending on the heighth of the shelves....stuff like that...if not I will figure it out but any advice is good at this point..im barely starting to set it up..I still have to get these trees harvested but I laready have clones to put in the stadium once its ready...
