Calibrate your PH meters

Just a friendly reminder to calibrate your PH meters, do it to your EC meters too while you're at it. I had been slacking with keeping up on my equipment, just calibrated and was off by .6
A $10 bottle of calibrating solution should last a year or so if you do it once a month...don't be cheap :)

how long was it before your last calibration for u to get an error of 0.6. and just curious... what kind of ph meter are u using?

It had been a few months, my leaves started looking a little funky and I suspected ph. IMO ph is crucial for plant health, especially growing in coco. I let it drift by .2 but I always want it to be between 5.9 and 6.1. Also, if you're having problems and you know your ph is on point you can remove that as one of the variables.

ya. i am also in coco.... my res somehow got to 7.0 ph about two days ago and i got a few small rust spots indicating the first signs of calcium deficiency. I have since corrected the ph and no new rust spots have shown up. ph is no joke.
