Its shooting out allot of pistols mostly...Looks like a straight up male to me.
Don't feel too bad. I make a lot of people look bad. Lol. Okay, okay... I promised I wouldn't be a dick anymore. Trying... lol.im speechless....
nice job jin.... what did i tell u about posting your pics on the jurn?
... makes me look bad.....
nonetheless i must say .... your tahoe is superb !
I honestly don't know the answer to that, but I've seen it happen before. Twice, actually. My guess would be that if the herm plant in question went hermie from stress, then you're far more likely to get the 1/4 herm/ fem ratio, but if it was a non stress-induced herm (natural herm?) then you're going to be a little more likely to get a true male. Admittedly I'm guessing here, but it makes some sense to me.Question for mr wolve...
Can a self hermed plant.... the white bubba i grew out....
Make a 100% male plant????
I thought the only seeds that are made thru self hermification were suppose to have 1/4 herm to female ratio...???
This explains why there are no pure og males...
Yet my club uses colodial silver to make fem seeds.... this is the only i thought u could get a more true og seed....
Oh welll there are few pistols and mostly balls on the w. bubba.....
how did i get a complete male in short ????
edit
Hermies cause problems because they may carry the hermie trait with their offspring. In fact, genetically the hermie will only produce female seeds and hermaphrodite seeds. It will never produce a male seed. If you have ever seen all female seeds been advertised by seed- banks then you should have the right to know that these seeds come from female plants which are stressed into producing male flowers. The plants then self-pollinate themselves and the results are female and hermaphrodite seeds. In a special case a female known as an XX female will produce more female seeds than hermaphrodite seeds. That is how female seeds are created. In general growers try to keep away from any hermie plants because they will spoil a Sinsemilla crop. Also having pollen floating around in your grow room from a hermie plant will spoil everything else including breeding projects.
info from other site...The creation of " feminized " seeds is done by obtaining pollen from a female plant and fertilizing another female plant. This is done using ethylene inhibiting agents to turn female flower into male flowers and then the pollen is collected.
There are 10 pairs of chromosomes in ****, the smallest pair are the sex chromosomes. Female plants have 2 copies of the X chromosome, therefore their genotype is XX.
Male plants have only 1 copy of the X chromosome, and a Y chromosome. The genotype of male plants in terms of sex chromosomes are XY.
When pollen is created within the plant, one of each of the chromosomes pairs is packaged in to cells that develop pollen. Each pollen grain contains 10 chromosomes, 1 copy of each pair.
So, when the pollen is obtained from a female and then used to pollinate another female the genetic makeup of those seeds will be XX and the chances of the intersexuality trait being expressed will be exponentially decreased.
ps.... the clone i got was stressed in it 3rd week of flower when i got it....
It was from a white bubba(rascal seed) ... a selected pheno from a 10 pack..from esk
I hear ya on the Raskal prices, they're insane and I won't go there. Was recently offered a deal on a quantity of his packs but passed cuz it was still 100/pack even at volume. No bueno.i will be making some crosses hopefully... with the pollen....
Since the male used in the white bubba was a white fire og leaning male...
Rascals making bank off his new white bubba , whitefire, white erkle, white romulan, white alien , and fire alien...
I was gonna buy a pack ..but there like 130 for ten...
Id rather get an already slected pheno from cut personaly for 10 or from another free....
So ill just make my own since the prices are crazy...
Cheeze if u got that white bubba male from a self pollinated white bubba then I would agree with dst don't use it as that's a road you do not want to go down to find a stable male will be hard and in the plants genetics it will have herm in it blood.cool but some guy told me that the white bubba was probly herm genetics and not good for using.... unless it was forced to herm...
i guess to say that maybe these are just bad herm genos....
You can do the lower branches, but you have to be VERY careful in the process. Use an artists' paint brush, turn all fans off, tie a plastic bag over the portions you don't want pollinated and carefully paint the pollen onto the buds you choose. Let them sit overnight like this without air circulation, then rinse them off the next day. You'll need to do it 4-5 weeks before harvest time.
