I am getting my license tomorrow morning. (exciting I know). I was wondering if any users on this site was from CA and knew which town would be the best the go to for clones.

San Fransisco vs. Santa Barbara.

Those cities are well over 300 miles away from each other. Which one are you closer to? By "go to", I assume you mean visit in person, correct? I can tell you this about SF...every dispensary here runs out of clones very quickly every single morning, assuming they have any at all. And the quality varies quite a bit.

I am almost smack dab in the middle. Paso Robles. I would have no problem for the extra hour drive for good clones.

Well, I can't offer any info on SB...sorry. I'd recommend going to yelp.com and read some reviews on the clubs here in SF. That will at least give you some idea of what you're in for up here. The one I do know well is Grass Roots at Polk and Post Streets; that's a great club and they have some of the healthier clones I've seen but, again, they don't last long. Hope that helps.

Thanks man. I didn't know that clones flew off the shelves that quickly.
Yup. Unless I'm mistaken, each SF dispensary is only allowed to have 99 clones on-hand at any given time...not that they ever get that many to begin with. They're usually all gone by 10:00AM or so. It's really more of a crap shoot than one might expect.

You may also want to check out Santa Cruz dispensaries; I believe they are allowed to keep more on-hand every day. Probably worth researching some clubs down there too - may have better luck. That's just a wild guess though, based solely on the fact that a personal grower is allowed to keep four times as many plants for personal use as they are in SF. Maybe it's the same way for the number of clones...who knows? ;)

Either way, I wish you luck on your journey!

If you're thinking Santa Barbara, just drive another 40 miles south and stop in Ventura... there is a good source for clones there if you look around... $8.00 a piece and cheaper :P

If your thinking about SF, whats wrong with Oakland? Harborside has lots of clones and an A+ selection of smokeables...get an HLT brownie...they're amazing...

Also, santa cruz dispensaries (both of them) aren't allowed to carry clones, I was down there today...

Dont drive after consuming medicated brownies... That's a terrible idea.

ask for the HLT brownies and TRUST me when I say that you will only wanna eat one at a time. I have a high tolerance to edibles, for some reason, it takes alot to provide me with relief and these HLT brownies do the deed, every time. Also, they sell seeds and have tons of clones, last time I was there the maximum per patient was like 30 or something, plenty ;)

Strains I can recommend from them is the dream queen, the blue cheese, the strawberry cough and the grand daddy purple...all great strains and good cuts, have never gotten a bad clone from them.

Have fun.

Probably already said but SR71 (cafe blue sky) has some great genetics and even a catalog explaining where the cutting or clone was obtained from. Would you rather have somebody TELL YOU where it came from, or show you a broshure explaining in detail where it came from? Ill take the later

Wow...that's news to me

I would go the extra 45 minutes and come to Sonoma County, Organicann is a little big and scary the first time, but they have 30 - 40 genetics on hand and have mothers or ones ready for flowering. Plus they have good cheap seeds. Also I went to the harvest dance and this place was giving away free Peak 44 clones. the number is 707-887-7339, they said they were opening in nov. sometime

I wouldn't trust orgaincann clones since mine definitely weren't true.
