Okay, so this is something that, if you havent lived in Cali you would never know but northern cali is very different from socal, different lingo, outlook...were just different.
Than being said, since most of the group I travel in is part of the medical cannabis community we refer to strains as opposed to this is good/bad, etc.
For instance here is an exerpt of a convo I had with a freidn recently regarding the quality of some strawberry cough that was very good and some OG kush that was ok...
"Did you try that strawberry cough? It was triched out, really nice"
"Yeah, that shit was super ice"
"What did you think of the OG?
"It was preme, he should have waited another few weeks to harvest"
"I agree, def should have been more patient, the way it came out was bunk"
Translated:
The SC was covered in trichomes and was potent, the OG was harvested too early and was judged to be substandard.
Ya dig?
In LA, I have heard people use more common trade names for canna...like Kush, skunk, haze....even though they definitely werent...the most overused in my opinion...blueberry...on one trip to LA, everybody had blueberry...now, BB is my favorite strain...I have grown nearly all the major seedbank's BB, I know the strain like I know my face....wasnt none of them true blue..but thats what most of the people I was around at were told they had.
Just remember that good marketing works on every level from the seedbanks to your canna club to your local budman.
