i worked to fast and always got ahead of everyone else. the bosses would get mad. "slow down" they'd say.So, why were you standing around with your thumb you know where? Were you working for the government?
Either a government employee or a Union guy.So, why were you standing around with your thumb you know where? Were you working for the government?
I don't work because no place around here does want to really pay you for your time. I think most jobs pay around 7 dollars an hour. It's not worth the time away from my family for that pittance. I'm not going to give up weekends with my husband for 7 bucks an hour. I'm not working on holidays for 7 bucks an hour. I'm certainly not going to "protect the money at any cost" for 7 bucks an hour, (which is employers around here tell you, if you get robbed, protect the money at any cost) Sorry, not this bitch......
I'll just keep on with the housewifery, at least my husband says things like, "thank you" and "the house looks nice today", I'm a fan of gratitude. Nothing is worse than an employer who wants to pay next to nothing and then complain that you aren't busting your ass quite hard enough for them.
buses usually come by every 20 mins or so, subways trains can be 5 mins apart during commute hours. when it pulls up, you get on. when it gets to where you want to be and stops, you get off. they have predetermined stops. you need to know these so you know where to get on and off. i think that's it.I've never ridden a city bus Purplekitty. We dont have mass transit here. It's own a car or get to walkin. I don't even know if I could figure out how mass transit works. I've never ridden in a subway either.
I know when we go to the city (do I sound like a hick) we see the people waiting for the bus in all sorts of weather and we're always like "that must really suck, standing in the pouring rain waiting for a bus".
My husband makes enough to support me, our kids are grown and the plan always was when they are grown I could quit my crap job, and I did too.

Hmm, strange, I had to work to buy my first car, and my second, and my third, but I don't see how it's taught me responsibility.I never bought my kids a car either. They learn more responsibility if they have to work for it theirself, and they appreciate it more and take better care of it when their money paid for it.
They have to deal with maintenence, and insurance and budgeting their money to pay for these items while still being able to afford gas.
It certainly teaches them more than just handing them a free car.
I've seen to many kids wreck car after car all the while their parents just kept buying them new ones. One girl killed her best friend in a wreck, and mom and dad gave her the keys back and she drank and drove and wrecked again within 6 months of getting out of the hospital. Today that same girl is dead, mom and dad kept handing her the keys no matter how many times she wrecked, no matter who she killed. This last time she was alone and the car landed on top of her. There was a cop right behind her, he reached down to flip on his cherries because she was over the center line and when he looked back up, the car was flipping.
I bet mom and dad reget handing her those keys now.

yes there is the catch, they always throw shit like that at people. Then other people are told they have too much experience. it's like no matter what you do, it's not the right thing.
