first things first, im new to this forum i´ve been reading you guys for a whilie and it´s a blessing having you on the net.
So here i go... i got my first hydro bucket, i over fertilized once but ive been really careful on that, im almost turning into flower but she is drinking lots of water, i use RO Water, i do my measures every morning and almost everyday she drinks more water than nutes im about 1500ppm and sometimes my ph is down like 4.5 or so. What is happening? And if i add more RO water to my nute solution meaning by this that i am diluting more water in the nutes do i need to add an extra calimag to the water im adding? can i have a nute lockout because of a calmag deff?

Thank you!!

RO water contains NO buffers.
With no buffers, Controlling pH can be difficult at BEST.
Your plant needs the added Ca/Mg you use "as" the buffer in RO or you'll get def's! FAST!

I like G&H CALiMAGic for the extra iron in it also (another good buffer for the pH and needed by the plant too).

With Hydro and the use of RO water,,,,,,,YOU MUST USE A Ca/Mg PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (rule of thumb)

When running hydro in buckets (DWC) or with a res. You need to dump and refill every now and then.

Try the 33% rule.

Fill your bucket with 100% solution. everyday when you need to add back to "top it off" you add back a 33% nute solution (make 1 gallon of 100% and then add 2 gallons of straight water. BINGO 33%). pH to 5.8 and refill to the "full" point.
When you are going to add back the accumulated amount that will equal the TOTAL amount that filled the bucket/res at the start. Dump it and refill with 100% and start the whole thing over.
