So unfortunately i cant plant untill the 27th of november this year as im stuck in the asshole of the country untill im finished studying ,but im moving back to the north in about 3 weeks (thank god).
im going to being doin a guerilla grow out on the costal bush on a northish facing hill strains are blue dream and trainwreck from hso and a ogxwhitewidow and ogxNYD which were freebies(if they arrive that is).
its going to be all organic in pre dug holes pretty much just cow shit, coffee grounds, castings and lime, fish bone meal bit epsoms salts probably and of course organic soil.
But what im really wanting to know is am i going to be able to grow decent enough sized plants to make it worth putting in all the effort to get every into the bush as im going to be a month late into the season??.

you'll be right. trainwreck and blue dream both jump a lot their whole way through - so even small ones put out later will perform more than you think they will. I threw a 30 cm blue dream that was in a one gallon straight into the ground in late summer, right before things started budding, and still got 4 oz off of it -and it was in the shade! blue dream is a freak though.

my only worry is you mentioned coastal bush - it's gotta be pretty wet, at least on the west side. but it sounds like you got good strains for those conditions. good luck man!

don't forget if your going organic you need to let the soil cook for 3 weeks + good luck
yea man its going to get 3 weeks max to cook itll be the first thing i do when i get there and going to have the plants at home for at least that just to make sure they get big enough.
im still trying to work out weather i should do it in a large bin liner in the ground or just straight dirt in holes what you reckon??

sweet man thats some good reassurance haha and its going to be east coast gana plant them on a hill aswell so they have good drainage and last year this area had a pretty rough drought from about end of jan to april so hoping this happens again to make sure i dont get any mold. i dont mind hiking water in to much as the exercise will be good for me haha.

id say the worst thing i have to worry about is possums i was thinking of putting some chicken mesh up around them for the first month untill they got some height but ive seen those fuckers jump fences so i dnot know if itll help much haha,
its a farm bush and ive never seen deer there so shouldnt be a problem.

haha those possies are a bitch! a friend of mine did a small crop outside of queenstown years ago. his starts were gorgeous - he had them in a Styrofoam cooler when they were young with mesh over the top to keep them protected. after he transplanted, he went to his patch one day to see it just nibbled down to fucking nothing by possums. He left disgusted and broken hearted, writing the whole thing off.

then, on a whim, he went to go check the patch in the fall. he ended up pulling over 3lbs of primo smoke off of plants that had grown "over me head" he said! weed is resilient.

haha yea man there sure good fun to shot tho.... id love to do a crop up around queenstown some day i love that place and theres so much bush would be wicked.
Shit thats pretty cool just shows ae that we really do need to treat it more like a weed than a plant haha but then again during flowering its a different story.

yus seeds just arrived today only 2 more weeks and i can start this season getting pretty excited.
think i might be changing seed banks next year although i did get them the stealth shipping wasnt really worth the money a 12 year old cabbage kid could hide some thing better than that and after 2 weeks of not being sent or me receiving an email back pretty disappointed with sos but hey atleast they turned up safe and sound 9 days after they were actually shipped

go hard and get them in, ive seen mates put clones in nelson ways mid January and still pull a lb a plant. Try herbies for seeds next time very fast and stealth only took 8 days to arrive. good luck with the grow keep them possums and rippers away and you should be sweet

Hey mate!,

I'm growing landrace sativas in the bay of plenty this year. late nov-early december is perfect for pure or dominant sativas as they don't start flowering til mid feb!, not to mention how much they stretch lol. Honestly it is fine putting them out on the 27th- Last year my african landraces were germed on the 1st of december and were 5ft tall before flowering!, would have ended up being 12ft+.(had to rip as they were too vigorous and tall in the backyard).

I'm glad to see some kiwi brothers on here.
Here are the strains I'm growing outdoors this year:
Panama from Cannabiogen.
Malawi from Ace seeds.
Taskenti from Cannabiogen.
and my only hybrid is Cotton Candy from Delicious seeds. Oh and protect your plants at all costs! those goddamn possums are evil!.

Listen to dankdope- hes right, I've used 3 sources and nothing comes close to Herbies! 7 days from order to arrival. Pick n mix is awesome too from herbies. 27 degrees today for me.

DSC00672 icmag.jpg I'll start a general NZ outdoor thread.

Chuck a malawi out and you wont have a choice not to pull pounds ;).

The drought this year has been crazy, no frosts all winter. That last bit of rain was good though, man i got sunburnt badly yesterday spraying weeds. We've had 27-28 degree days already.
I hope to get a red pheno of panama
