I'm a huge fan of Jack's. Those Cfls sound OK. I'd have to look more at your dimensions for coverage. I'd say you got a few weeks (4 to 6) before you want to flower them. Depending on the set up. Pic of the closet would help. Is your air flow good enough? How are the temps?
 
Temps stay in the 70 to low 80 I have fan running and air flow is good the size is about 4ft long 3 ft deep and 8 ft tall
 
And the lights stay on 24/7 in veg state correct also any suggestions on what lights I should invest in as far as the flowering stage I seen that 10 hours of light help induce females is this true? I'll post pics of this set up I have started thanks for the help
 
This is what I have as of right now but like I said I have extra 100 a month to improve my set up so any advice is greatly appreciated thanks

Buy a used t-5 or 250/400/600 hid light. And figure out how to have an exhaust 6" min dia for your space, better diameter would be quieter coupled with a variac will be super upgrade. HD has in-line fans for $30.

Well I'm kinda hurried for an event I'm going to but I run my veg at 20/4 or 18/6 as I think they need the hours of rest. Long topic but Circadian rhythm is involved. 24/7 is OK, just saying.
Not true on the 10hrs of light to induce females. Cannabis flowers when it has several 'nights' of un-interrupted dark of 12 hrs. Think of fall coming. Then they determine if they are a male or females. Actually they know by 2 to 3 weeks from seed, they just won't tell you till they get the long nights.
I'll get to some stuff on lights later. But halogen are bad. Tons of heat for the small light produced. A 250w CMH or a 400w CMH would be better, just more than $100. I'll get more later but here is some good Cfls. These aren't the best price I could find, just usually low and an idea of what is cheap and works good. Maybe better ones for your set up. Look in your rep for some info.

Thanks for the help and advice so is it ok for me to try out the "make it rain" method with MG I see many people advise not using mg but I started before reading this thread but so far its seems to be working for me I'm adding a close up for anyone's input on how they look so far and is it a bad thing that my big one smells like a skunk jus curious about this thanks and one more question I have a fan blowing straight on them one friend said I'm killing them but I was under the impression I'm making them stronger thanks for everyones help

this was a great read...long but good. the only thing i disagree with is i do use occasionally MG Organic Choice for veg along with a tsp/gal epsom salts every third watering. my veg time is short. not more than a month. i up-pot into very rich moist fertile soil and fert sparingly until the roots are established enough to handle more. they seem so susceptible to burn issues. great job...sticky for noobies would be a good idea.

The MIR will work fine for the bigger one or couple. Others not yet. His MIR you can use MG nutes. What NPK is it? Apple Cider vinegar works good for a cheap pH down. A pH tester is kind of important to see how much pH down it takes to get your tap water to 5.8 to 6.2 for the MIR. E-bay for $10-$15.
Most who are so against MG stuff are forum parrots who use forum myth. It's all about giving them what they need. Fans are good. Unless it is causing the soil to dry out. Sometimes smell is from the strain chosen by a breeder to enhance it. Most times it is from something minorly out of optimum. No biggie, but if they are totally happy they don't smell much till the last 2 or 3 weeks.

I have ph testers and my ph is good 6.1and I'm currentlyusing mg plant food and the npk 8-7-6 not sure if its good to go with mg liquid house plant food and I have a feeling my fan is drying up the soil so I am timing the amount that its on and running now with me running the fan directly on them is it gonna make the stems stronger thanks
P.s. I'm using the nutes at half strength it says 20drops per 1qt I'm doing 10 drops
EDIT: PH 6.1 TA ( ALKALINITY ) is about 80-120 and chlorine/bromine is 0/0
 
Hey Riddle. I'm in CO also man. Thank you for all of this great info, my adventure begins tomorrow. I had a quick question, at what age (or size) do you start the 1/4 strength jack's and dyna?

A buddy told me led is the way to go I also have my eye on some cmh bulbs as well but don't know what ballast I need for them thanks in advance for everyone help

Well a pH of 6.1 is low and that's where you want it for his MIR. 2 to 3 times pot. So 1 gallon pot gets 2 to 3 gal. water. What is the pH when you add the fertilizer?
That is an OK one but there are other cheap ones that are better. The ratio of 1-1-1 isn't as good as 3-1-2 (veg) or 2-3-1 (flower) Not positive on those, I'd have to look it up.:-P The MG has none of the micro's besides Fe (iron)
Like Jacks Classic it's 20-20-20 and $5 for several months worth. It is a 1-1-1 ratio but has lots of micros. There is a cheap Ca & Mg fix that its missing sometimes. Epsom salt diluted into a tea. Some tap water has plenty and it's not needed.
A half strength dose is good. Just keep an eye on their color and add a bit more fert. as you go. Till you see very tips look burnt, then back off.

Guys, RiddleMe started his own site. UB is there along with a bunch of veterans. He was banned here as UB & Bricktop did too. Look for his site cause I understand a lot of this but they explain better.
I'll help all I can, just saying they know way more than me. Or anyone still left here as far as that goes.

So once they are 4 weeks old, I should water them until a fair amount of water comes out the bottom, then let it dry 3-4 inches down, then water WITH nutes until i get any water coming out the bottom, then let it dry and repeat?

How should I water until it's 4 weeks old?

Good information but you should present it better. Nobody wants to read a wall of text. Break it up into bolded, headlined categories and keep it simple and straightforward.

LED's suck??? Yer killin' me saying that! lol

My Kessil Magenta H150 does very well so far. Haven't used it since wifes dog chewed the cord. I was able to patch it and it still lights up but I don't know how long it will last now. Hopefully at least as long as that little shredder if not longer, lol.
check out Grumpy old Dreamer's red dragon grow thread he use the magent kessil from start to finish in a mini/micro scrog with very good results.
On the upside I finally got the cord/socket set for my 400w CMH I had to buy an additional adapter to match the ballast.
