If anyone here has grown outdoors in or around Arizona please tell me how it worked out considering the temps? Im very Interested to see if anyone had success growing outdoors in this climate. Any help would be appreciated.

ya i have in pheonix. they grow fast and need about a gallon of water a day per plant.very potent, but they have to have shade in the afternoon cuz it gets up to 120. they flower anytime between june and augest. you have to start growing early.

I agree with most of what c loc says. And I hope what I have to say against him does not upset him.

The Shade in after noon, YES..

120 F during the day.... YES!!!!!!!!

As for flowering in JUNE or August.. I really doubt it. In Arizonia it is almost September, and right now it is about 14 hours of light to 10 hours of dark. I truely think that to grow out doors in AZ you should veg indoors until about late june, early august, and then they should start flowing in late september early Oct. The need for water will be huge, and Shade is a must. It still hits 110 F around Pheonix. Humidity is at 3%-18% on an average. Growing in the HOT, DRY Desert is difficult indoor, out doors it is murder. But it can be done.

If I am incorrect to what some of you believe, I am sorry. But this is what I would plan on.

For my own thoughts.. I would never try to grow outside in the hot, dry airied desert. To much dam work. Impossible to fathem.

Where would you get the water supply at? I could see it now. They have a 747 Boeing Jet fly over at 38,000 feet and wonder what that green patch is in the middle of the desert, that was never there.

But truely, even a single plant in the back yard will be hard to keep alive, under those conditions.

You might wanna try something like 6 hours outside from like 5am to like noon then move her inside under some kind of HID light. For the the rest of her light cycle. A lil extra work but temps will not really go over a 105 before shes inside.

If you can vegg her inside start now, the temps will be fine next month(perfect weather) for an outdoor run in Az. Then you can just transplant what you want outside and let it roll.

:clap:I think your all crazy i live in chandler AZ and all i do is grow outdoors from beggining of summer to almost december. If you have good soil and get them good morning sun and do good on watering and nutes it can work. I have a plant right now thats in all day az sun in the desert dry land scape and i didnt water it for two weeks and its still alive and bushier.
