Calyx Bros. Seeds Co. "Abusive Diesel S1" (Abusive OG x Sour Diesel IBL ) Hydro Grow

Hi everyone.

Was recently blessed with tester packs of Abusive Diesel S1 from Calyx Bros. Seed Co. After growing out some Lemon Fizz and Shut Eye hybrids from Green Point Seeds I knew I had to try something from Calyx Bros.. GU, from GreenPoint Seeds, also spoke highly of the gear coming from them, so I've been looking forward to doing a grow with their gear.

A special thanks to Kakalaka for trusting me with these testers. I know how flaky testers can be, and I won't disappoint.

PLAN:
Since these are being grown from seeds I'll slowly mature the plants for approx 50 days before before bringing them into flowering. From there I'll flower for 9-10 weeks depending on how quickly they mature. ALL smoke tests will be INDEPENDENTLY done by old timers and very harsh critics. Basically, if they say it's Fire, it's fire.

I'm very honest when I screw up, and even after several years of experience "stuff" happens and I'm honest about my mistakes.

Seed-Veg:
I'll sprout my seeds in soil and will let them mature for approx 14 days. From that point they will be transferred to a cloning machine and grown for another 2-3 weeks in 2.5 ml per gal Micro and 5.0 ml per gallon bloom nutrient solution that will promote root growth. From this point they will be transferred to Deep Water Culture Veg buckets for approximately 3 weeks to complete the veg.

Flowering:
Based on the genetics, this will likely be a 9-10 week flowering period. I'll be using the full line of Cutting Edge Nutrients along with Compost Tea.

Hello all. So far 90% germination rate 6 days later with 19/21 seeds sprouted. Going to dig up the remaining 3 seeds that didn't sprout in a couple of days to see if I caused the issue.

Going to leave these seedlings in here for approximately 10 days before transferring them over to the clone machine to begin developing the roots. In the mean time I'll only be feeding them a compost tea that has a very rich mixture of Humus, earth worm castings, rock dust, mycorrhizae, fish protein, sea kelp and more.

Had much better pictures showing all 19, but oddly enough those pictures didn't save properly.

See you all again in a week.

A couple of days later and there was 21/21 (100%) germination rate. I dug up the two seeds that didn't sprout and found them in air pockets due to not having packed down the soil enough. However, a small tap root had popped out in one of them and I damaged this root and may have killed the seedling due to to mishandling.

Plants still only receiving tea and water. There is some slight purple in the stems so I'll be adding a 1/10 strength veg nutrients this weekend. By the end of next week I'll be bringing these into the clone machine to develop strong roots.

Hi everyone Picture is about 2 weeks old, and I'll be making another post shortly. Harvest day threw my schedule off.

Anyways, this picture is from the day I transferred over the testers to the clone machine. The purpose of this is to harden the seedlings as well as begin to aggressively grow the plants, specifically the root system, before transferring them over to the veg buckets.

Started to finally veg these girls. I've been slowly growing them out but have a couple of spots that opened up in my veg buckets, so I picked out 5 of these Abusive Diesels to grow out and put into flower in about 2 weeks, on the 24th of April. Was planning to wait another 4 weeks, but plans changed.

So far they've adjusted very well after a short couple of days in the Deep Water Culture system. Roots are pure white and about 6 inches long. Now that the roots are established they should begin to grow out aggressively. Those fist several of days are always the slowest.
