Hey guys.
I'm pretty new here. I see lots of posts here about figuring the exact specs on many COB lights as far as efficiency, par watts and ppfd.
Heres the deal. First I build a "small" 25 chip array in my 4.5'X4.5' room. Now after the amazing results I get with it I built a second array and went much bigger. I went with 42 Cree CXB3590's in an a 92"X92" tent but I'm only lighting 92"X72" with it.
These are the chips I chose. I know there are tons of different ideas on "this ones better" or "you should have gone with xxx" but I used what I like. I'm not looking for that type of information. Those talks just end in some folks saying thats the way to go and others saying differently.
My real questions are coming up on exact efficiency numbers of my array and what type of ppfd I'm putting down on paper. I do have an Apogee MQ500 but I know some of you can tell me more of the specs. I don't know exactly how you guys figure out all the stats like you do but wonder if someone could take the time to do that for me.
I am running all of my chips on almost exactly 13" centers. I am running 33 x 3000k CB bin CXB3590's and 9 x 5000k DB bin mixed evenly.
I like to run about 28-30w per chip on the 3000k and 50w/chip on the 5000k but have the capability of 50w each on the 3000k's and 80W each on the 5000k's.
I would love to know what my array is doing @ the above mentioned "28-30w per chip on the 3000k and 50w/chip on the 5000k's". As well as when I run full blast at 2500 watts from the wall and 50W per 3000k and 80w per 5000k.
I run 18 3000k's on 3 of the HLG-320H-C1400B's
I run 15 3000k's on 3 of the HLG-240H-C1400B's
I run 9 5000k's on 3 of the HLG-240H-2100B's
Heres a video of my 2nd array I would love some real stats on.
Thank you guys very much for checking it out.
