Can anyone help me confirm?

Hey guys. I have a plant I named BB King. It’s 29 days old today. About 3 days ago I noticed a small pre flower. Then the next day saw 3 more and then today found 3 more. However, the pre flowers don’t have any pistils. They also don’t look like balls. I can see any stems with a ball on it either. Can you help me sex my plant for me?

It's too soon to conclusively tell.

Note that some strains (only a few that I've ever run into) won't show sex until put into a flowering light cycle (ie. 12/12). I'm not saying that this is the case here, but it is possible.

I agree with you about some strains not showing until after you flip. I had one last year that never even showed a pre flower. I flipped the cycle . It was the first one in the room to show. Showed sex within 4 days. Ended up being a male. I just didn’t know if anyone is leaning more towards a male or female based on the shape of these pre flowers?

It's too unreliable to guess by the shape of things or how things look. I've heard over the years that if the plant does X, it's a male, but if it looks like Z, it's female. Through my many years of growing, there is no reliable and completely consistent way to tell until it literally shows.

I’d say it’s too early except in the 5th photo, isn’t that a pistil poking out of the preflower on the left?

On these strains how long would you have to wait before you would know that you must put it into flowering to know the sex? Basically what is the longest normal strains take to show before flowering?

3-4 weeks most will start showing. I have a couple that take a couple more than that. If they hit the end of week 5, I stop holding my breath.

Sexing plants is easier if you've got two grow areas. I plant seeds, then after a couple to three weeks, take a clone or two from each little plant. I then put the plants the clones came from into flower. This will force show sex. By the time that happens, the clones are rooted.

If the small plants in flower are male and I'm not in need of the pollen, I kill the plant that's in flower, along with any clones I took from it. If female, I just leave the ones already in flower going, plant the unplanted, rooted clones, and throw them in veg. After a couple weeks after the clones have been in veg, I clone them again.

I am more like at 8-9 weeks and what I see is what most around here say is too soon to tell, pretty much same as op.
