can anyone tell me what bulb i have and how much plants could be grown

done a little bit of reaserch and it looks like i have got a high pressure sodium light but can anyone tell me for sure (ill try post a pic) and if anyone knows what watt. i think its 400 but not to sure. last thing how many plants can be grown so that i dont waste anylight but i still want a nice bushy plant/plants. iv got two atm but i have had 4 but it got to much and had to tie them it got a little messy and just to much to handle. thanks for any info

it should be printed on there somewhere mate..

If its a 400w (as welshsmoker said, it should be printed on the base of the bulb) youll be able to get 4-6 plants flowering nicely

i wanted to grow them all at once and the two i got have allready sprouted after germinating them for about 6 days and now have been growing ffor about 2 days just thought about topping these two (when the time is rite) to let the ones i havnt even germinated yet to catch up then might bend these two what do you think how long do plants take to recover from topping? personally i germinate with just wet tissues i just read that you can just put them in a half cup of water keeping them dark and they should have the same effect but in 24 to 48 hours can anyone back this up? once again thanks for any info =]

Yah its is a HPS its looks like a 600 watt to me but like others have said it should say on the bulb, also wipe the bulb down with rubbing alcohol when your done touching it to get any oil off it from your hands before turning it on. If the bulb is a 600 Watt and setup right you could grow maybe 8 plants under it, if its a 400 Watt maybe 6 plants.. Also if your having problems with plant hight maybe look for a short indica plant seed like white widow or ICE if smell is a problem Northern lights is nice. When germinating I have always used damp paper towel on a plate and put it inside a plastic shopping bag for a few days and never had any problems.
