Can CFL Daylight bulbs be used for rooting clones?

Fucking Home Depot only has 60watt soft white cfl twist bulbs so
I was thinking of using cfl daylight bulbs that I already have. Is it
possible to root clones using these daylight bulbs or do they have to be
soft white?

IF you can get em about 2-3 Inches away from Tops of Plants, use hand at same level...IF hand gets Warm after 5 minutes or so raise em a little, Also try and hang on sides(Horizontally) they give better spread and I believe the Tips are like dead spots, little to no Lumens...@Hoare..damn that's a Great Price for 12 pack...bloody £4 for 1 x 30w over here..

5000k.
Is this ok and if so
how high do the bulbs have to be above the humidity dome
for best results?
5000k is not the best, but it will work, just might take longer to root. 5000k is high in green spectrum. You can get a 3pk GE 6500k or a 4 pk great value 2700k at Walmart for about $10. Both of those would be a better option if you can swing it.
