Can Filter or Phresh Filter???

I need to get a new carbon filter because the one I got from HTG just sucks. The wife is already complaining about the smell and I am not even flowering yet.

I am thinking of getting either a Can Filter 75 or a Phresh Filter 6"x16". I am not really sure of which one to get, but there is a huge price difference between the two filters. The Can 75 Filter runs about $260 while the Phresh Filter runs about $132.

Since I need to get another carbon filter I want to make sure I get it right this time. I want no odor. I live in a high rise and odor is not an option for me.

So does anyone have any experience with either of these filters? Please help.

I have a Can Filter and a Phresh filter both running. I like the size of the Phresh filter. It's about a third smaller than my Can-Filter rated at the same amount of CFMs. They both have good warranties too. The Can Filter seems to let off less heat because of the smaller holes, but not enough to justify your price difference. I remember these two filters ran around the same size. Maggies Farm is the shit!

Thanks a ton, man. + Rep for you!

Any idea of why the huge price difference between the two?

I have a Phresh Filter. It went from being able to smell outside the building, to having to be in the room to smell anything (room is filled with plants). Very impressed with it.

I've had my Can Filter for almost two years now, running non-stop except for a break here and there and it's never had problems. My Phresh filter is fairly new so not much to say yet. The big difference price-wise now that I look at it is because you are looking at a Can-Filter that is 600 CFM vs the 400 CFMs Phresh Filter. The same size Can-Filter as the Phresh would be the Can Filter 66, which runs at about $150.00 before any kind of discount. Hope that helps!

I sell a lot of phresh, half the weight, you don't pay extra for a flange, the carbon is smaller.
the price difference is probably like advanced vs general hydro, Can has been in the game since the beginning and have always been more exspensive.

LOL. I had no idea that I was looking at the wrong Can Filter. You are right, the Can 66 is what I would want. Much closer in price. Thanks much.

Thanks much to both of you. +Rep.

So are the two filters pretty much the same in a ratings game?

I am leaning towards the Phresh Filter at this point due to it being half the weight and using smaller activated carbon. Any other thoughts?

honestly, I think phresh might do a better job and for less money, that makes it a win=win
