Can Filter or Phresh Filter?

Need some help and input..I am setting up 4x4x6.7 Gorilla Grow tent with open wing hood.. 400W HPS..I have Active Air 8 inch 720 CFM for exhaust..What filter out of these would work the best with my 8 inch Active air 720 fan running at like 60%-75% with fan controller..

Phresh filters are the best they also now carry an inline carbon filter yes inline.not sure if that helps with your setup,but definitely go with phresh filters.the more surface area the better.

what is benifit of filter.im just finishing my first indor,done lot out,i have lots of fresh air coming while the light are on,i ran like 4 1000 watt, plus 2 t5 250 watt compact flor,with air pulled through the lights, i got decent weight,maybe 350-400 gr.per 1000 watt light .i want to try running co 2,next time.is filters mostly for smell.?tryn to get this indoor thing,real real nice.

Well a carbon filter is for eliminating odors but some will pre filter the intake air as well.that's to eliminate any pathogens dust.

Thanks yeah I really want to look into the inline carbon filters my oregano k stinks up the house.

Phresh w/o a doubt. I used Can and others before Phresh and they were not nearly as effective and were much bigger and heavier than the Phresh line. Phresh filters have a 2 yr +/- lifespan, whereas the others are more like a year. I was getting odor from new Cans that were overrated for the setup. Not cool.

Phresh Filter w/Hyperfan = smallest, strongest, and most successful setup IMO.

I can't comment on can, never owned one. I have a phresh that is about two years old now. I've done just about everything they tell you will shorten a filters life span and it still works well.

Ummmm... a 720 cfm fan for a 4x4x6.5 tent i think is a lot too much for exhaust even at 75% speed. That is about 100 cubic feet so even at 50% speed on that fan you will be changing all the air out 3 times per minute....

I know it is overkill a little but thought with a filter and ducting better safe then sorry just use the fan on 50%-75% sit's at like 82F...

I got 6 inch 400 CFM for intake you think that is a good amount coming in?

I was gonna say the same thing.

I've got a 863cfm blower that I dial down to low (around 450cfm) for my 4x8x7ft tent with a can50 in there. It does fine for me.

That blower is overkill for the tent, hell my blower puts massive negative pressure on my tent at high, imagine what your blower will do with half the air volume to move? lol

Also I went with a can filter. At the store there were a couple different brands of filters in the same size range and can filters were by far the heaviest out of all of them. I figure if I'm buying a carbon filter I might as well get the most carbon, right? My can50 weighs 43lbs. I forgot what brand but there was one that was the same size and half the weight. IMO that's BS

ya should be all right as long as the 720 exhaust is dialled down to 75% speed...

ideally you want just a bit more are going out then coming in so you have a slight amount if negative pressure...thats what keeps the stink from spreading through the house...
