Can I clone while harvesting?

I lost my clones due to contamination. My plants are one week away from harvest. I was wondering if I could clip the bud(s) off a branch and then clone that branch. I imagine it would take a long time to get back to veg, but is this even possible? Would there be any stress, herming, or potency loss for the next generation?

From what I've read here you can. Never tried it but they also say it's better. It has to do with the science of the plant. I'm looking for the thread and will post it as soon as I find it.

You can try. The closest experience I have on that is I took some clones only 2 weeks into flowering.. and they took 5 weeks to reveg hehe..

it would take forever to reveg that, you wouldn't want to chop all the bud off it either, youd just wait for new shoots to pop out from the top and start growing foliage again. Your lookin at a few weeks to regain growth and this can be done if you are adamant about this and have the time/patience necessary to complete this alteration and playing god, so to speak, with the natural rythums of natures pulse. Be sure to leave alot of root exposed after slicing on a 45 degree angle, like scrape away some green up the stem where you cut, leaving more exposed for roots to emerge. Use superthrive within your cloning cubes and your rooting dome. It'll be a game of waiting and daily monitoring/adjusting.
I sure hope you already have experience in cloning or this could be pointless, never know, good luck :D

I've actually cloned quite a few times with almost 100% success. This time, however, things didn't go right. I started them in a new cloner I built with a couple other changes. Should've just stayed with my original cloner. It always worked really well.

I've cloned into flowering with success, but never this late. I'm not living from harvest to harvest so if they don't make it it's no biggie. I can find some more clones if I look around a bit.

Now for the long wait
