Can I cut half plant now n put lower buds back in light? Have pics

Wats up fellow tokers n growers, so it's my first grow n I have 4 herojuana og plants and 1 thai fire og and they will be in their 8th week of flowering on Tuesday 3/19/13. I'm using 3 gallon pots n growing with a 600w hps n was wondering if I could chop good buds now n put the little undeveloped nugs back under the light? I know that your supposed to let your plants have at least 48 hrs of dark before harvest. How could u do this if u chop half now n let the under growth go back in? Don't wanna create half hermies. Also what do u guys think couple more weeks 1 or 2? Feel free too drop n e input thanks n stay lifted!

I have done this outdoors for years with great success. I have never done the 48 hours dark so I can't speak to that, but if you wanted to harvest the top colas and let the rest of the plant go another week or too that will not hermie the plants.

Thanks bleeds, yea I heard by leaving them in dark for 72 hrs helps the bud continue swelling and potent up.

Garage grow FTW! Personally I wouldn't take the chance, but that's just me. I've heard of it working outdoors, but outdoor plants tend to be hardier in general. If you do it, report back with the results. Looks like some fun times ahead overall.

I always do it if not in a rush to get another one on. Works for me all the time indoors or outdoors with no probs. Turns the popcorn into a half decent smoke due to the fact its ripened up. I cant say it gets much bigger but I would say it defo fill s out. If you check my The Church journal you ll see my part harvest pics They have frosted up nicely

I did it once but after that started aiming for a more even canopy, because of all of the work/mess involved in harvesting. rather do it all in one go

I'm doing a split harvest. The bigger portion at first will be what has got to go (with the exception of one huge nug or two), and the rest that finishes ripening will be for me. I've seen a bunch of people do the split and it always seems to turn out just fine

Thanks for all the comments guys yea I have a cople that r gonna need more time so ill only really need to chop one early to grow out the popcorns so def think ima do it def agree wit u monkey ones would much rather do it all at once but gotta get that good smoke

So after reading about the dark cycle I have found its not for this harvest because if u decide to go for it conditions must be colder than normal bout low mid 60s so if u can keep it chill all couple dys it is beneficial n proven but if conditions aren't met there is nothing benefiting from it, mise well leave the lights on. Just wanted to fix what I said n add that in there
