Can I grow a plant to 2 foot in a gallon milk jug?

Sure, I have plants that are a little bigger than that, in pots that are the same size. They're getting really close to being rootbound though, so you'd have to be careful to not let them get much bigger that that.

I don't normally let them get that big in the 1 gallon pots, those are leftover plants that I couldn't fit in the bloom room, and haven't had the heart to chop down, yet.LOL

Have you ever heard of Chinese foot-binding? That is what you do to plants when you grow in containers that are to small. Plants grown in containers large enough for healthy root systems to grow will grow better and have fewer problems and they will flower better and they will produce better.

I am unsure of what type of container your milk comes in but if it is one of those milky-white but yet still see-thru jugs .... well roots do not care for sunlight so if the container will let light through you would have to paint the outside or cover it in some way to block the light.

Not knowing any better I started a few of mine in milk jugs, 1/2 actually. I can HONESTLY say that the ones grown in pots grew much better! At least figure out a way to make the jugs opaque.
