Can I Grow My Plants in the same Yard wit a Swimming Pool? With Chlorene Evaporating?

I just found a house I'm moving into soon. It has some grow space, but it has a pool too. one of my grow buddys told me that the chlorene evaperates into the air and poisons the plants. Does anyone know if this is for sure true?? I would love a pool but my grow space is more important.

No its not true i have a full sized pool/hot tub in back and get veggies/fruit/marijuana growing even within 3ft of the pool

Chlorine is bad for the biological life in your soil if you're going organic, other than that, plants don't care and many chemical nutrients actually include chlorine as one of the essential macronutrients plants need. And the chlorine evaporating from the water in your pool isn't gonna make it's way back into your soil...Besides it's a pretty miniscule amount...toxic levels for your plant would most likely be toxic for you as well. I"m not saying your friend is an idiot, but he should be giving out misinformation. Fuck, a lot of people treat the water in their hydro setups with chlorine to keep them clean, and the plants don't care one bit. You're good, have fun growing!

yah, i don't buy into this either as i have a veggie garden in my back yard, and my neighbors directly behind me have a pool that can't be more than say 10 -20 feet from me garden, and i haven't dropped dead from them yet..
i think that there are far more important things to worry about when growing outdoors then the chlorine from a swimming pool.. i would think that acid rain would be far worse for the plants and hence the person smoking them then any chlorine would be..

A neighbor of my parents grows some dank shiz and he puts his 7 or so foot tall plants in the openish gazebo by his hot tub. The lattice ceiling keeps sun from hitting any one spot for too long and the tub keeps it warm and humid...its actually a great idea
