Can I Harvest In Stages ?

Okay, I have a Purple Buddha, suppossed to be a 53 day flowering and well over 60. I know these are times under ideal conditions and harvest times will vary. However, I am flowering under 5 flourescent tubes and a 150 watt Hps. Every time I think its close to flowering I find a few new clusters of flowers on the buds. The Tricombs are milky white with about 50% turning to the amber.

What I'm thiniking of doing is harvesting the top and outer buds first, giving it a shot of nutrients, then giving it more tim to see if I can get all those little spider buds to bloom. Will it work ??:blsmoke::blsmoke:

A Staggered harvest just take what u think is ready off and leave the rest or just wait till its all done and u think its ready and the way u want it

:leaf:Well hell guys, I started harvesting with full intent on staggering harvest but by the time I got the bulk that was ready off I decided what was left I would go ahead and harvest and put in a different curing area for lighter and not quite filled buds. I figured I may as well get the next bunch into hash mix. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP. Looks like some tasty buds.

I had the same issue with almost the same lighting. I used 8 t-12 flouro tubes then bought 2 150 watt HPS lights. The HPS made a huge difference & I harvest in stages over about 2 weeks.

It was nice smoking some of the buds while you were still harvesting from the same plant.. Kinda kewl..

what lights are in the black boxes those cfls?

They are 150 watt HPS lights. I got them at Rona or Home Depot. They are the square security type that you see at the side of a building.

Certainly not Halogen. They would cook everything in the box :) Because the ballast is in the case they certainly do give off more heat than an actual light with separate ballast but Im growing Getho style with what I can get for free or close to it :) Its my hobby. I can buy what ever I want its just fun to do it this way.

They were about $75 I think & they were right there on the shelf... I like simple...

LOL I can relate..., to the cheap thing..., so far I have a total of $97 total in my grow room counting the nutes so far. Of course I only harvested 1 plant so far but now have 11 plants and 3 varieties at various stages. Check it out on the basement link at the bottom in my signature.
