Can I run co2 even if I have air in/out via fans out the chimney?

Would it be beneficial to run co2 for an hour during lights on while not running air out of the grow room is cool enough to allow?

Yea. But if possible id do more than just one hour. I do mine to squirt in co2 based off math of how much my cubic feet need to raise it enough, fan is timed off with it starting. Then hour and 40 mins later it runs 20mins before the co2 kicks on and does this through their entire day...

How do I know if it's safe to be in the room and the levels aren't too high without buying a meter?

Your math be on point. There would be no other way without a meter, as long as your under 2000 you'll be fine for the time you spend in the room, you can average your results of dispersal rate with weight of tank then amount of air recycled and fresh air brought in to see what the time it would take to empty tank, generally co2 levels are 400-800

Appreciate the advice my man, here I thought you could only run co2 in a closed room ..

Google calculators. There are calculators that help ypu estimate cubic feet of co2 u need to raise it. If ypu assume ambient air at 400 you do the math for 1600 for the cubic feet of your room. Iv never felt unsafe, open the door and keep ot open before going in....
