it wont kill it but if its not dry, it aint gonna taste, smoke, burn, or greally get you high worth shit. so really it would be just as well if you cut off your buds and throw them in the trash because its going to be a waste unless you give them enough time to dry naturally. just in my own experience thats how it goes, so you can try it if you want, but i wouldn't do it.

If you really want to smoke and cant dry it then go ahead. I have gotten high a few tiems of of bud that had just been clipped. I used a torch lighter though because with a regular lighter it took too long to burn the weed. I got high enough and got a sample of what the bud will be like. But after the weed dried I got higher than when it was wet.

The zen is correct buuuut if you want to use a wet paper towel put it inside and check about every 30 sec don't know about the temps on that use your own judgement!

I've heard to chop it up really fine and do it in 30 second intervals on a medium heat til its all dry in a micro...PERSONALLY I've put one nugget in a bowl on the windowsil and its dry in 2-3 days, decent lil' nuggie too so if you can be patient and wait til monday it'll be worth it I reckon - although you could try the microwave if ya want it quick.

Maybe cut a nugget in half and do a comparison between the 2? You could let us know then! :bigjoint:

Your best bet would be to put a screen on top of a lamp and have the bud about 4 in. above the bulb and just turn it over every few minutes.

if your in a rush to smokes come, you can get a cardboard box and put your weed in there and a hole for a blow dryer. Turn it on for a minute or two, wait, and repeat till dry enough to smoke. recommend blunt or J, cause quick dried has a lot of chlorophyll in it. Wont taste so good, might get you high though depending on if you grew good.

I have personally smoked weed right after trimming it up for harvest. In fact, just this morning i was trimming an outdoor plant I had just finished, and cut off a little nug by accident. So i stuffed it my bong and used my creme brulee torch to light. It got me SOOO fucking ripped. The strain was Lemon Haze, and I only smoked a fat bowl, and I was hight for like 2.5 hours. SO if you ever want to try a sample without drying it, I say go for it. I won't taste anywhere near your final product or get you nearly as high, but shit if you wanna smoke and dont have anything else, I say what is the harm?

Like mr nice guy said... blunt... it's not gunna be pleasant

might as well call ur dude and get some middies !

Why not...its your product (:
If you're just gonna sit there and trim your buds, you might as well load a bowl...after a while trimming starts to suck. Might as well be high so you don't mind as much.

way to dig up a ancient thread, you bored with your life?
Just because the thread is ancient, and just because the original OP no longer cares, others who may have the same question or are curious might want to know the answer(s), too. And because I didn't see an answer that matches my experience, I'll add my own:

You can sample your plant before harvest by taking a small nug and drying it in the oven. Put it on a cookie sheet or a piece of foil and sit it in a cold oven. Then turn the heat on at the LOWEST setting. In 10-15 minutes, it's done. You can also sit it under one of your plant lights, a few itches from the bulb, for about the same length of time.
