can i start flowering with cfl lights?

i'm using 3x 23W cool white and 1x 14W warm day in a box i made from a washing machain....thinking of getting 2 more 23W warm light would this be good enough??

growing for 3 plants here

you wondering why so many people answered you so far? It's cuz a lot of folks here want a decent size yield or strong dope, so we stay away from CFL... unless you have those nifty 150 watt grow lights. Also, CFL is used mainly for vegging or as supplemental side lighting... for 3 plants you will need a shit load more CFLs... I would do at least 2x43watt per plant.. but that's just vegging like I said... then you should switch to HPS or CMH or even MH.. ANY HID really... or else your buds will be barely there at the end...

come one dud u dont have to be that hard ..it's my first time after all...
was thinkin of gettin hps but i worry about the heat or that it might blow when the plant reach the light...coz i'm growin in a small box and i'm having a space problem already

Put those lights on one plant and would do ok. Just don't expect too much from it. But its a good way to start your learning experience. Keep all the bulbs just as close to them as you can and make sure you use a good quality potting soil.

I disagree look at my girls!!!! 5 weeks into flowering, 2 plants running 6 42watt warm white CFLS!!! I think im doing alright:peace:

dood im going on 8 23 wat cfls for 1 plant
i like to think im doing fine
but for 3 plants.... u need HID
but if u cant afford one
just get as many as u can if u can manage the heat
