Can i switch a autoflower from 12/12 to 20/4 several weeks into the grow?

Hello all! I was wondering if you can switch a autoflower from 12/12 to 20/4 several weeks into the grow? I just started my Auto Blue from Mephisto genetics but im flowering my cheese candy atm. I wanted to start her so i can have something growing now as well (this is more of a experiment type grow with the Auto Blue). Do you think that would be okay?

It would actually benefit the plant to switch to a 20/4 schedule.

Dont autoflowers require 18/6 for the duration of entire grow?

Autoflowers can grow under any light schedule. I was going to do just a 12/12 grow (a lot of people have done so with good results), but i changed my mind. You typically want at least 18/6 or more though. I just wanted to start her. My main plant is still flowering. Figured id get a head start lol Im really only looking for like 10-15 grams with this plant.
