If you actually want me to @bk78 I will…should be going in 10ish days…I’m assuming it won’t be much difference between the 6/2 and 18/6 but then again, ya never know…so lmk if you really want updates about it and I’ll tag ya/add ya

All of RIU wants updates. Maybe it would make a sticky thread.
Ok, and I’m asking if he personally wants an update on 6/2….it was just proven that not all of members even care about it as they think it’s dumb to even try…so why update ppl that could care less to try new shit as they prolly won’t even try it because it’s too dumb to try? Not saying, Just saying.
And think it’d be stickier than this thread? Lol but I’m done on this thread so I’ll make a new thread showing the SBS for the ones who are intrigued…take care tho as I’m unwatching this thread after this post…happy growing

I can’t use a previous grows to show my first ever and last scrog? I’m confused….most ppl said 24/0 was garbage also at first but some love it…maybe don’t shut out everything right away just because it sounds dumb …expand your mind a bit
Not to be pedantic but.
Umm I never said it was garbage for 24/0
Most people said that yes?

Most people said that yes?
Correct, At first many believed it was junk science etc and it was a huge debate at one time, because ppl saying plants need rest and that 24/0 isn’t natural etc…but it works and can work great…I don’t understand why you’re stuck on that? As even I use it also for micros…never once did I personally say that 24/0 is garbage….good day sir…and now I’m done @green_machine_two9er, you win the bet lol, peace

Not saying most people in here said it, just in general…think bigger,

You can clone and turn to flower in 10 days!! Now that *IS* impressive.
how is that what you got from that? I’ll have clones ready in ten days…not finished moron…you’re way dumber than I initially thought….pretty hard to accomplish

I thought you were done with this thread. Can’t help it can ya. Every single reply you post resorts to insults or name calling.
All the people you are insulting haven’t been rude or used personal slants against you. We are Just talking shit about what your trying to do. There’s a difference. ( besides being caught in bullshit lies)

you know people are just messing with ya now for laughs right???
Why not bow out gracefully??
Hell I’m sure you could make a whole new account here and start over here.
next timeshrink your brinches alittle bit and you might learn something.

I try hard to avoid this subject but it keeps rearing it's head. So here are some of my thoughts on this. Also if you run 24/0 and are happy with it, that's great keep it up.

Actually I believe plants need at least 4 hours of sleep to use O2 for repair and regulation and as our lights get stronger they will need that off cycle even more. So far cannabis, a C3, can SURVIVE in 24/0 but if you look at studies of another C3 plant (tomatoes) actually get sick under continuous 24/0 as they can't clear the starch in their leaves.

In the simplest analogy humans are omnivores we can eat anything and survive. For example you could eat candy bars and survive but you wouldn't thrive. So I wonder as we push our light's performance how much is that extra four hours giving us? Is it measurable?

Cannabis isn't a tomato and it has a higher ability to flex to handle the higher light but I think as our lights get stronger (and the LEDS are doing that) I think we may start hitting the EPL barrier. Here's the simplest references I could find.

"The effect of continous lightning on photosynthesis depression is specific. In all plant that operationally accumulate starch in chloroplasts, even in the afternoon it has been measured a fall in photosynthetic rate. You can well build up a lethal response if strong light is added continously. Tom Sharkey but also Seeman, Berry, Flore described several cases in Plant Physiology, JASHS and PNAS from 85 to 95. This has been called end product limitation, EPL, and it is due to lack of phosphate recycling from chloroplasts stroma. Some tree can be affected by even by fruit removal and in this case it has been put in evidence a sink limitation. The common symptom is a gas exchange that is insensitive to CO2 level and Farquhar model incorporates this possibility. Specificity of EPL arises from the fact that sugar alcools can be efficient photosynthetic transporters and do not polymerize or subtract phosphate. Mannitol sorbitol galactitol and myoinositol are represented in fixation products of labelled CO2 in many plants and algae in a system that is in parallel to sucroseP photosynthesis, but not in all species. Possibly the lack of escape routes leads to CL sensitivity"

This is an interesting article that looks further into up and down regulation of production limiting factors (rubisco and TPU et al) https://academic.oup.com/jxb/article/70/20/5521/5589199

Hope that helps illustrate why I run in 18/6 and I have no problem if you choose to do differently.

Nice. Intuition itself pushed me to 18-6. Except for propagation tent. That stays in 24. Great post thanks!
